Cynical Speculation--we dont want FBJT to see our 'showcase' and start comparing us to Kansas, Kentucky, or Duke. Another side observation...we went to the NCAAs 3 straight years (and won a game when we got there!)...still not enough to drum up support for any kind of midnight madness. I am not really surprised or dissapointed. I would rather have no showcase then one where 175 students show up. Disclaimer - I graduated in 2007 so my view of "students caring" is admittedly skewed.

After following this topic pretty closely over the past several months it really seems like Mizzou and Illinois need to just pack it in. I would be extremely surprised if he went to one of those schools.

I was flipping through the Lindy's preseason mag and they had AY on the 3rd team A-10 and Milik Yarbrough as one of the top newcomers (touting his rebounding skills). I havent heard many posters talking about MY even predicted in the rotation. I still want McBroom off the bench. His D is suspect (also he takes a selfie every 30 mins, not sure when he practices). I would like to see a starting line up of MC AY RA TL JM ....And hope that MC or AY can get the Bills into their offense. I havent seen the skills in AM that make me think he can be a steady PG...actually the exact opposite.

Haha, I am in delusional homer mode. I would wager just about anything that we will finish better than 10th. Of course I also put a sizable wager on the bills against louisville +13.5 ....Man how did we not cover that. Still bitter. Lesson that I will never learn: Never bet on the bills unless you are betting the under with Soderberg as the HC.

In regards to McBroom, it seems like basketball is his 3rd or 4th priority. I hope that the freshman are challenging him for minutes come conference season time. And good lord SLU72 - 16 losses. Who are they? do you think we will go 2-14 in conference or something. I have us at 20 wins...that metric doesnt mean much anymore but our recruiting has been very strong and these are not Soderberg's freshmen. Judging solely from that Blog, I would put SLU somewhere between 5th and 8th place. He sounds just like any other 5 star SLU would put maximum effort in recruiting.... Mention us on his list of offers but talk about the "bright lights" schools when pressed for material. And he was sure to dispel any rumors that he was gonna stay in the Midwest...ugh :/ I know it doesn't mean anything and I am a card-carrying MBM, but this blog material just strikes me as SLU falling behind

In regards to McBroom -- his performance seemed to fall off a cliff right when he got a girlfriend. He used to tweet about grinding at practice, now he tweets pictures of his gf brushing his hair and stuff. So there's a (bad) theory.

I really think Crews needs to coach more hands on this time. I really would not mind seeing the "Soderberg-Arizona strategy of 2003" -- Make this a half-court game. Warren can take contest 18 footers or drive and have Rob waiting for him in the paint. If It is going to be the outlet passes to guards to streaking dunkers from NC State that is going to make me scream at the TV. There should be nothing easy tomorrow.
