  1. Staying at SLU makes sense for Porter whether he is named the future head coach or not. If this team performs like many feel in the next few years (top 20 rankings), Porter's stock is only going to go up.
  2. Good, because I think you ran dry...Sorry that you were offended, I did not provide any text of Nate's story, I just stated that Loe had committed. If anything, that shoud have encouraged people to go to Nat's site and check things out. Obviously you haven't...
  3. For future reference smart a$$, what is the official wait time before passing on a story? Again, if you really care about Nate, why haven't you subscribed? I guess Frank Cusumano is a low life as well. Sorry to bring such depressing news to the forum.
  4. I've been a member of Nate's site since day 1..why aren't you? Did you really think only his subscribers were going to find out?
  5. Frank Cusumano just reported that he has been receiving strong vibes that Rob Loe will be a Billiken...Hope it is true..
  6. Because he will have an academic scholarship, and maybe Roy, he still wants to play.
  7. I agree with your assessment, however we have never had a coach recruit like RM either.
  8. Cyclones offer JUCO SF Clyburn Paul Clark CycloneReport.com Publisher Apparently Iowa State does plan on having at least one more scholarship available for next season. Marshalltown (Iowa) Community College small forward Will Clyburn said that he has received an ISU offer as a 2010 JUCO prospect. The 6-foot-6, 185-pound Clyburn - a high school teammate Cyclone sophomore guard Dominque Buckley at Detroit Romulus - said the offer came to him via telephone from Iowa State head coach Greg McDermott. Iowa State is the first high major offer for JUCO wing Will Clyburn. "He came down Thursday and watched me play and I talked to him for a little while after the game," Clyburn said. "Then later on he called me when I was back in my dorm room and we talked some more and he said I had an offer." Clyburn, who recently went off for 54 points in a single game for MCC, said receiving his first high major scholarship offer does not alter his timeline and approach on making a commitment decision. "I am still going to wait until April, it doesn't change anything," said Clyburn. "I've always like Iowa State a lot and now I have an offer from them along with some other schools. I will keep my options open and make a decision when the time comes." Clyburn said he's also been offered by Duquesne, Central Michigan, UNI, Utah, St. Louis and Wichita State. Clyburn is ranked as the No. 53 JUCO prospect in the country for 2010 by Rivals.com.
  9. Congrats to all..Too bad RM wasn't named coach of the year.
  10. This is really getting old. Willie (and others) have been cheated out of numerous blocks this year because of incompetent score keeping. It's a shame if this is going to cost him the school record for blocks.
  11. Bad luck and poor officiating...That non call on the travel was ridiculous.
  12. knocking him on the floor a couple of times would have put willie on the bench with foul trouble. To play that agressively, we need more depth.
  13. I was checking out the A-10 board today and came across this post from Metz. Now I know what you guys are talking about. billikens.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Bobby and I am a SLU grad (A&S political science 2005). I posted on billikens.com under the moniker billikenmetz for a while until I was banned for making a racial comment. It was in poor taste about Larry Hughes and I apologized and did my penance. I signed on under a new name and was immediately called out for it, even though I did my time away from the site (which is not even run by a SLU alum - it's run by a George Washington alum for christ's sake). Anyway, I'm here on this board now and I'd just like to warn you that I am a pot-stirrer. I am critical of the Saint Louis program. It's getting back to where it should be, but there's ways to go. I do not care for the administrators of billikens.com (although I pretend to so as not to get banned). The administrator, Steve Rogers has banned/blocked my IP address from my home network and my work computer(s). I am the biggest Saint Louis basketball fan there is and not having access to this site is ludicrous. How a freaking GW grad is in charge of a SLU board makes me physically ill. I will be posting anti-billikens.com rants on here every now and again, so thank you for giving me a forum to do so.
  14. RM should be the favortite based on the preseason 12th place prediction for the Bills.
  15. I found it mediocre and over priced...would not recommend it to anyone.
  16. you are correct, at least as far as last year, I don't know if anything has changed for next year.
  17. Actually, I have a sense of humour, it's just that I haven't read any of your posts that are funny...Perhaps if you post a picture of yourself we can all share a laugh together....
  18. Not sure why you guys want to take shots at one the few local media guys who actually cares about SLU, and who goes out of his way to promote the team.
  19. The only ass here Roy is you! What the hell is wrong with you? We just had a gutty come from behind victory and all you can do is ###### about the coach. Can't you see that you are making a fool of yourself? For the record, everyone knows that RM did the Lisch family a favor by giving Daniel a scholarship. Daniel doesn't have d1 talent and it is obvious to everyone but you. It is also known by everyone that the scholarship was only intended for 1 year. by the way here are daniel's stats for the year. http://www.sliac.org/mens3/mbasketball/200...MB.HTM#team.ind he is averaging 1 point a game...yeah rm really did him wrong....
  20. There is a lot more than a faint hope that we will sign Loe...I think the Bills are probably the favorite to sign him...
