  1. I believe that's the tweetwhere he said he loved Mizzou and would send his kids there. Correct?
  2. can't resist this topic. If Durando was at aau in indiana this weekend ask him what the coaches were saying about Gordon. Or ask T. Ford. Or ask @ebossi. It's not Mizzou he"s interested in and vice versa
  3. If you don't like Lunardi, try this site: http://bracketproject.50webs.com/rankings.html
  4. So does this BMI stand for the Bowel Movement Index? I think you're actually referring to the BPI ; some sort of Power Index. Also for the poster "DUFF". Mizzou did not get a #1 seed in 1994 by winning the conference tournament. Nebraska, with Eric Piatkowski, won the tournament and automatic bid. Missouri got the #1 by going 14-0 in the Big 8 and 26-3 overall. No big deal but your logic was faulty. Congrats on a very good season and good luck in the tournament unless or until.....
  5. He's the 4th writer(last) on the Cardinals beat for the Post. went to VCU I believe. I thought Billiken fans might like him since he really likes to rag on Mizzou and their journalists. But, except for the SEC, he seems to be an equal opportunity hater. the good news is he'll be out of work in this town as the printed media shrinks and, if you've heard him as a guest on Bernie's show, he has all the personalty and wit of a vending machine.
  6. True statement, that's what fans always do. BTW, that's also prevalent on this board. Pot-kettle?
  7. Brian Oliver(Soph SG, 10+ppg) is transferring from Ga Tech and is being recruited by Mizzou. Malcolm Hill will make another trip to Mizzou next Wednesday and Darius Hill just made his 2nd visit to MU this week. This staff is sure drawing a lot of interest.
  8. If you've done any recent research on Porter and Georgetown, you'd know that the lead recruiter for Georgetown(Robert Kirby) has been friends with Otto Sr for 30 years. It's kind of telling that all the "experts" who said he wanted to stay close to home are explaining it all away by saying the family never spoke about recruiting. Well why were they speculating when they didn't know. Missouri probably would have been in it before Anderson left but that sealed it. Haith knew he didn't have a chance after one phone call. Credit Georgetown for cranking up their effort when it became likely Anderson was leaving.
  9. the biggest basketball game in St. Louis year-in and year-out is Missouri-Illinois. Two BCS schools with passionate local followings lots of pageantry also covered on ESPN. I can see how SLU fans would like something like that.
  10. You are correct about him not transfering but he was in Anderson's doghouse all year. Played less than stellar defense. The opposing team's 3 position just dominated him. on top of that he took too many unadvised shots. Still, he's really popular with the team and the students.
  11. Capel as an assistant was a rumor that was never substantiated. Peeler's issues were personal and about 19 years ago as a 22 year old. But a question for you. Why would you hire a known college basketball cheater like Biancardi(the bag man for Jim O'Brien at tOSU and even consider doing it again?
  12. That was Demarre Carroll. Anderson also had his son on the roster though maybe not on scholarship; now he's on the coaching staff and another relative is also an assistant coach. I never liked that. Demarre Carroll graduated and was a late 1st round draft pick. Wasn't doing that well but made some good money in the NBA.
  13. so what were Jamal Walker's and Drew Diener's majors and why wasn't it necessary to transfer?
  14. the buyout is $750K until July 1, then -0-. Anderson owes Mizzou $550K for his Buyout. Probably is a leverage deal but when someone like that expresses interest, they have to respond. Now, they're geared up to pay in excess of $2 Million a year, they might as well aim high.
  15. Name mentioned as a possible replacement or Anderson on Scout, Randy Bennett of St. Mary's. not my personal preference but getting some attention.
  16. the BCS conference teams got their asses handed to them and no conference pissed down their leg more than the Big East; they embarrassed themseves. Look at the OOC of the top teams of the Big East and you'll see lots of games versus 250 to 300+ RPIs. They get to the tournament and find out they're not playing each other and it's goodbye. No clever alibis or excuses can hide that fact. Same goes for the Big 10 & Big 12. Not a good year o the "power" conferences.
  17. Sounds like you are aware (correctly) of the story that Mizzou tried to get a home and home with G-Town and was rebuked.Same thing with Michigan State. Next year the conference schedule goes to 18 games v. 16 so the OOC games shrink by two. Unless SLU's willing to take a 2 for 1, you probably won't be on it.
  18. Uverse is showing the A-10 6PM game on CBS College Sports. Doesn't specifically say SLU-URI but should be it
  19. if not Missouri, SEMO is a real possibility. His cousin, Michael Porter, tranferred there and his dad played there. They're seriously involved.
  20. Mitchell is eligible to play now ; the transfer not till next year.
  21. Only if he's a lottery pick. No sense shorting yourself.
  22. trade him to the American League and you may not have to see him in a different uniform. Seven years and $30MM is too much.
  23. ROTFLMAO!!! A ku fan expounding on the value of Boise State's relative value in football. They would not finish dead last. ku has last pretty well locked up especially with Colorado leaving. You're right about BSU's educational value though. LSU and Arkansas are not leaving the SEC for the Big 12(10). Too much money. The Big 12 won't last. The Texas schools dictate everything and probably rightfully so. They have the population and tv sets. They, however, are not a benevolent leader and teams will always be looking at other opportunities. When they get their Texas tv network up and running it will get even worse. They are arrogant pr!cks. In hindsight, it would have been better if there were divided factions and Texas had been split into four states.
  24. Back when the Big 12 was formed, Texas and A&M thought too many Texas schools were being included. If Ann Richards, the Governer, wasn't a Baylor alum, they never would have been admitted. There are many who think the Big 12 is only holding together until UT gets their TV network in place to be grandfathered in whereever they go. They, A&M and Oklahoma can moreorless choose from several expanded conferences. The remaining won't be able to be so choosy and a few, like K-State and/or Iowa State could be out of luck as far as a BCS conference affiliation.
