  1. Watched the game again, and boy to get out of their with a win, playing 5 against 8, turnovers galore, was amazing. CG had a very good game, and seemed to have more blocks than the three he was credited with. Looking at the play with about a minute left where he got leveled, it was a borderline cheap shot and should have been called a foul. It looked like it hurt too. The brew-ha-ha after the game I do not think was started by Powell, as some have alluded to, but to my eye watching that over again, I think CG leaned in/down and said something to Powell, who then turns abruptly and responds....Loved to see the Senior Leadership take over and get the young man out of the way....It almost looked like Foreman new something was about to happen, and was watching closely. Hopefully with experience wisdom will come. Still if this was an A10 game I would be sending the tape of that play to the commissioner. Not sure Powell has a history of cheap shots, but it certainly looked like this one was.
  2. Overall, a good game to win, in the last four years we probably would have lost this game. Troy is a solid team, #23 is very good, experienced recognized double teams quickly, attacks when he has the angle. He was reacting and not thinking....our guys are still thinking quite a bit. They forced us into a half court game, got enough players back to prevent easy layups. We are just learning and thinking too much. The “rain” of threes was interesting, 3 of the four were players reacting to a shot clock winding down, TI, JG and JB ‘s. Perhaps that relaxed then a bit so they were not thickening, and just shot in rythmn. What is Hankton’s injury? Welmer cast and none weight bearing is down right sad.
  3. we have not proven anything. Lets go out and Show them...
  4. Not coming back to Bellrieve is mostly to do with time of year. The PGA is moving to the spring in mid/early May. The Zoysia fairways would still be brown in early May. Length of the course is the other issue, however, did they like the turnout, did they like the crowd support, you betcha.
  5. Chaifetz donationthis year was 15 million. The 27 million is the combined total, he has given in big chunks. It is a good number regardless of how we view Sit 2.
  6. 1) it is not starting, it is minutes.... 2) earning a starting spot does not have to be achieving in multiple games, it can be evident in single practice that someones talent alone earns them the start.
  7. Nothing, looked all boarded up when I drove past it recently mid June
  8. Actually need to subtract 12 million and then subtract another 15 for his donation this year “Saint Louis University announced today that its new 10,600-seat multipurpose Arena will be named in honor of University alumnus Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz (SHAY-fetz), who has made a $12 million naming rights gift to the Arena. The Chaifetz Arena will open in March 2008 and will be home to Billiken men's and women's basketball and a host of other events.”
  9. Thanks for posting an exceptional story. Well sourced, and hopefully finishes the school journey!
  10. The article said she came to St. Louis for her last 3 years of HS. Was in Jefferson City before that...but in St. Louis it is what high school did you go to.....
  11. Good for women’s team and Lisa Stone, however it could be scary she replaces 6 seniors.....
  12. Coleman from Samford is visiting this weekend.
  13. The headline at first was worrisome. After reading it not at all. No problem with him transferring because he did not like his stay at Airforce.
  14. According to Billsbeliever he played at Sanford. Which is otherwise known as Sanford University, Named after the Late Fred Sanford, by the acting president of the University Lamont Sanford. Ranked by US News and World Report # 3 for Waste Management Reclamation Studies.
  15. I Like St. Mary's team play. Many nice possessions with 2,3 or four passes. Collins seems sound, and his passing sweet. Hard to tell about speed and quickness though. Trust Ford in choosing, have not been disappointed in any player's talent so far. Ford is not one who will question the ability of a player under six feet to compete and play at the D1 level.....
  16. No NCAA or bust. I guess the silver lining for the NIT is that we might play Missouri
  17. When you take the Joeys out would SLU go from 4-2 to 3-2? And we would be better than Dayton...?
  18. I watched the presser too. Ford seemed off almost in a state of shock at the time. If he heard the question correctly from Ortiz, then his answer was a dodge, or an outright statement, “I am not going to filet open my mind and let you see what I think”. Frankly rightfully so. There is a time and place for introspection by Ford, and he gets to decide when and how much.
  19. The dude still cannot get it right. Travis only recruited 2 of the three students who were initially accused.
  20. Can he do that? Agree? How the hell are we going to get 500 pages if people start agreeing with each other?
