I don't understand why someone would want to come on the fan board of another team and argue with and put down their team ... with most posters that are not Bills fans that is what they do. I also don't understand why our fans would want to go to a valley board and argue that we are too good to be there. Just let them spout meaningless crap on their own ... SLU isn't going to the Valley so who cares what they think.

This is a Billiken board for Billiken fans ... so maybe we love our Billikens ... and want them to do well. Regardless of who won the game last year SLU was the better team. Was Syracuse undefeated .... who beat them? does that make them better? You picked out 4 sports ...how convienent. Please don't take that as an invitation to look up the records in all sports ... we don't care. You are clearly not a Billiken fan ... so please go post somewhere else

Hey Jimmy ... I don't get Charter either ..so I can't help there ...but I believe the Tip Off Club meetings are opent to th public ... I am a Billiken Club member but have never had to show proof. Either way you should join ... to support your Bills it doesn't cost a lot. Margo at 314-977-8180 can provide more info

You are exactly right about the good old days of baseball ... it is not the same sport. I am 42 and fell in love with baseball in the late 60's and early 70's. I think the sport started to decline with free agency ... but the biggest thing is guaranteed contracts ... they have created a lot of atheletes like JD Drew. I moved to Stl. when I got out of the Air Force in 1990 ... knowing no one here ... purely because I loved the Cardinals. ... now I attend 3-5 games a year ... and always get tickets from people selling them out front at about half of face value ... Our beloved Billikens ... have now taken the place of the Cardinals to me

I am not a Mizzou or AP fan ... but on what would you base your expectations of AP matching LH in productivity?

Courtside ... thanks for the report, glad to hear we won under tough conditions. Glad you liked Grazier ... I wish he would play more of an attacking midfielder as he holds the ball and distributes well. Vedad has had the cast for the last few games ... I hope he begins to get the team play concept soon. I agree with your comments on Will ... but it sometimes takes a freshman a while to understand the difference between working hard and working HARD. Are you going to Saturdays game? I have to miss a home game for the first time due to obligations with my wifes family ...

Enough said ... Courtside, we will just have to disagree on this one. Either way Germany is still playing ... I'd love to see them win it. I lived in Trier Germany for four years and was a DJ. in numerous clubs throught and have a lot of friends there ... though not really in touch much its been 15 years. I'm for taking Evans if we get the chance ... He was recruited by OU and other top programs before the injury and was without a doubt a top 25 program. Most people now recover from knee surgery stronger than before ... even if we have to red shirt him his freshman year to help him heal. How about Polk, Lidell, and Evans in the backcourt. WOW. I think it's worth the gamble. It we wait on Evans and he is fully recovered ... who knows where he goes.

Roy ... Just like you do sometimes ... Courtside just has a different opinion occasionally. He post on the soccer thread and I find them very objective and fair to the Billikens. We do not always agree but he is knowledgable and informed. I for one enjoy his posts ... just as I do yours even though you sometimes take a stand alot of people don't agree with. Regarding the who are you thread ... I really enjoyed it thanks to d1 for starting it. I think it was the best thread we've had since I've been reading and posting. We should contact Margo with the Billiken club and see if she can help us get a gathering together at the Savvis before a game. Anyone near 105 in the lower level?

BabyBlue2000, How about a little report on Justin ... how is he doing, where is he playing ... etc. Justin was and is one of my favorite alltime Billikens. I went on the trip with the team to Memphis ... I don't remember the year, they all run together ... but Justin lit it up that game for about 34? pts. He was on fire scoring from everywhere.

I agree the quote meant Quinn ... but I beleive it was meant in general Quinn ... and those like him ... he is making a statement about the different styles. There is no doubt Quinn is a pretty boy and flashy as compared to Brad ... who comes across as a genuine, midwestern blue collar kind of guy.

I agree ... and I am one of the fans that didn't attend SLU. I am really amazed at how many people who contribute to this board do not live in St.Louis. Please remember if you will to include your seating location in your post if you have season tickets. Mr. Husak ... glad to have your son on our team. I bet he falls in love with Stl. I'm not saying Germany didn't deserve to win ... I think they played well, but only due to the GK did they deserve to win. Other than that they were outplayed. Which keeper made more fantastic saves? You did not respond to the handball in the box ... did they not deserve a PK for that? The difference between winning and losing at that level of soccer is very small ... with the PK on the handball the score probably becomes tied and is a different game ... if they get the second pk ... they are probably one up. Again a different game regardless of their inability to finish ... which I think is a plus for the German keeper ...not necessarily a minus for the US. Again the German keeper was brilliant.

I second the idea about everyone getting together for a beer before a game. We should include where we sit in this post... maybe some of us are sitting close and don't know it I sit in 105 Row C seats 10 and 11 ... You can usually hear me .. I try to help the refs out whenever I can ... which seems to be frequently
