I don't agree with the point that we are not pounding the ball into Ian. Every game this year has started with the ball going inside to Ian. He has had plenty of touches. What I have noticed is that he is getting the ball stripped as he makes multiple moves. I suspect he is making too many moves or he is not holding the ball high enough.

Obi's family was at the game. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Word has always been that he would like to play for Anderson at Mizzoo. They only have one scholarship to give and would like a higher profile player. It would make sense that they might be telling him to wait.

Last night Brad mentioned that he wasn't too concerned about playing 3 games in 3 days. In AAU they play 3 games in 1 day. He also stated the other teams are playing the same 3 games. He said he is also toying with playing Tommie at the 4 when Luke is out and he doesn't think he can go with Bryce. He just doesn't trust the new guys yet. I would not expect them to see any extended time.

I agree he is not the type of kid you redshirt. If he can play he'll help in certain games when we need shooting. If he can't play why keep him around for an extra year.

I think I agree with what you are saying.Brad said on his pre game show that he was going to keep an eye on Obi,with the purpose of giving him more time. I actually think replacing Polk in the starting lineup will occur first. I don't know how you keep Danny out of the lineup. As S-Shoe said don't forget they played against HS. Most of their time was against HS's bench and Obi and Dixon had physical superiority. Quincy will be a better test and they both earned more time.

I am very impressed with Obi. The kid has basketball skills. I do agree that he is badly out of shape and is probably best suited to coming off the bench. I think he would have a hard time making the first media time out in a fast paced game. He might play a little better as players become a little worn out. I do want to move Luke out of the 4 spot no matter what. It's too bad JJ got hurt because that would have been the best solution. I don't think Brad is ready to trust Dixon ,but he can sure rebound. Reminds me a lttle of Dennis Rodman in that he's very quick off the floor.

First of all you have Ian and your 4 trailing the play. Second and most important the games we lost last year were because we couldn't score. Anything that allows our shooters to get open shots will help us score. Brads defense will take care of itself. I'm not talking about Dwayne or Luke jacking up shots, but Danny and Kevin with Tommie taking it inside.

I think part of this argument is what do you desribe as running. If we push the ball and get to the hole thats great. If we push the ball and Polk stops and waits for everybody to set up thats not running in my book. I would love to see us let the ball fly on the secondary break. Untill Brad encourages that secondary fast break shot I don't really look for us to get that many transition baskets. I would love for us to push the ball down the wing and have Kevin or Danny jack up the shot. Are we ready for that???

I think your talking about Tommie of last year. I watched his defense Friday and thought it was very good. I also thought Danny's defense was good. I'm with Skip I hate the pack defense,gives up too many 3's and thats how you can lose to an inferior team like a Quincy.

It's a lot easier to tell DM to keep shooting the ball in an exibition game then say Texas A&M. I think 72's point was well taken. When you cut possesions it puts more pressure on each possesion. We were a poor shooting team last year. I really do believe that Brad believes running is our best option.

Speaking of last nights game I couldn't believe the officiating. They actually called walking,they actually called palming the ball. If they would only get rid of the charging circle the game might have a chance. Seriously I thought the game was more like a college reffed game then in the past.

I think Brad is going to do some different stuff this year. While the pack defense will be used the vast majority of the time I think we'll press a little. I also would not be surprised to see a zone with the twin towers in the game. I believe Brad is going to find a way to get Husak some meaningfull playing time.

I'd be willing to bet that you won't see any out of town guys. I'd look for the John Duffs of the world. Guys who you see around the program, many who have season tickets.
