I have reached billiken_roy levels of posting (7/7)

  1. As was 6'8" rotation player Thomas. L'Etang is on crutches. Thomas is wearing a boot. Too bad they aren't next up for us.
  2. This is a huge change from last season when we had the full roster for only 3 games. Only Jimerson and Anya played in all 34 games.
  3. Coach on postgame: "Not happy with the D for NH and this game. Not enough help. Missed rotations out into the corners. Defensive rebounding not where it needs to be. We opened our hips and got driven on. "We will be a .500 team in this league if we don't defend better." Liked the low TO's. Ball screen coverage not good enough first half. Need to get back to our identity on D. Brady getting better and better. He is big enough defensively to contain. Smart team defender. Minutes have grown as he has become more impactful. He and Ish are unique in their shooting. This should have been a 40 point game, not a 23 point game."
  4. Robbie interview starts at 8:45. Lots of good chuckles plus some good inside stuff. Robbie asked about Pro's playing in the NCAA. (I'm glad I'm graduating. I wouldn't want to guard Embiid next year.) Worthwhile.
  5. I am glad this has happened. Let's get this all out on the table, let the puss fester, and figure out how to deal with it. Foreign players are being paid to play. G League players are being paid to play. College players are being paid to play. The fact that a player was 'drafted' is a moot point. So what. AND there is serious talk from several agents/players that fringe NBA players may try to go back to college. After all, the money may be better for them through the NCAA. No Congress shouldn't be involved. Those geriatrics have trouble figuring out how to stay out of their own way. Don't you think that a subtle sizable contribution to Senator/Rep XYZ would push towards an agenda to benefit the power conferences. Let Congress get involved and the NCAA will be building the fast rail system in California with their windfall profits. So maybe we are quickly entering into the 'divide to those who want no rules and those who want some sort of rules'. It is gong to happen sooner or later. Let's get on down the road.
  6. I would like to see Hutson and Kerr get 15 to 20 minutes with at least Robbie, plus two others from the main rotation. Let's see how they do when the Trigger is on the floor. When the walk-on's enter, Coach plays a zone. He doesn't play zone with his main rotation. Let's get Kerr and Hutson up to speed with the varsity. Jaden and Isaac can come in at the last media time out.
  7. Hampshire Egytian El Sharkery is their go to guy. He is 6'8", so his size won't impact our switch on every screen concept. He doesn't shoot the three with any frequency or accuracy (2 of 26 ytd.). 5'10" Tyler Bike is their best 3 point shooter, 13 of 32 for 41%.
  8. Maybe Principia HS for will show for our game instead of Principia College. Might be better.
  9. From the MLS. They have until Dec 2027. Timmermann is correct SuperDraft Priority List Unless claimed on Waivers, a player who was drafted by a particular club through the MLS SuperDraft and did not sign with the League is placed on that club's "SuperDraft Priority List" until December 31 of the year after the draft (i.e., for 2026 MLS SuperDraft, until December 31, 2027), after which the club loses the priority rights to sign the player.
  10. You can listen to the post game interviews at your leisure on Varsity Network, Saint Louis Billikens on Demand.
  11. Great interview! Lot's of Robbie love from Schertz. "He has sacrificed more than anyone else on the team. Everyone plays better when he is on the floor." Schertz quoted a stat he found, 'When Robbie is on the floor we are 2nd or 3rd in the nation for fewest turnovers. When he is not on the floor we are about 300th'.
  12. This is from Tom Timmermann. "We’re pretty sure he’s going to stay for another year in college," Wray said. "In our view, we see that as almost an additional year where he can be loaned out. With goalkeepers, more games means more development. He’s in a really great spot in Princeton, so he will only continue his development over the course of the next year. We’ll bring him in in the summer, integrate him as much as can, but it’s almost like having another team where we can use them to develop — and maybe that’s why this year he fell to the second — but by next year we see him as the best goalkeeper prospect that can be in college." City SC holds his rights for two seasons, so there should be plenty of time to sign him. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/professional/mls/city-sc/article_08f889bb-2c0f-4e2f-b4ed-b2a4214002b6.html
  13. City expects Samuels to return to Princeton for his senior year. They hold his rights for two years.
