  1. Interesting mention of the St Joe's game in the Syracuse "Inside the Loud House". https://insidetheloudhouse.com/syracuse-basketball-the-orange-will-no-longer-play-saint-joseph-s-in-las-vegas While the affair between Syracuse basketball and Saint Joseph's wasn't part of the actual Players Era Festival, this non-conference game was affiliated with, and being run by, the event organizers, I'm told. At this point, the only confirmed news is that the Orange and the Hawks will not be squaring off in Las Vegas. An earlier version of the St. Joe's schedule had them playing at UNLV on Nov 20 followed by this Syracuse game on Nov 22. https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/2603/saint-joseph-hawks It seems like the Hawks weren't part of the $1 million tourney but just playing teams that were in the tourney.
  2. Wow. That is brutal for St. Joe
  3. This is significant news. Dion was described by Coach as maybe the best on ball defender he has coached. He is a career 35% three point shooter and per Coach can get downhill as well as McCottry, Jones and Thames. He was 2nd in ORB in summer practice. We need Brown healthy.
  4. I am interested in finding out how/if Schertz is changing his revenue payouts for freshmen. After last season, Schertz stated he would pay his returning players first, transfers second, and incoming freshmen third. Each freshmen pretty much got a set amount. Now, with the bar looking to rise with incoming 2026 freshmen, will Schertz adjust his payment program? How much of a bump will Jermel Thomas receive compared to the four freshmen on this squad? (Of course, we'll never know.)

  6. Interesting article, linked in your link, on Booster Fatigue. https://nil-ncaa.com/boosters/ This article discusses NIL deals cleared by the College Sports Commission. I wonder if Robbie's ride is one of them. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/46154733/more-8300-nil-deals-worth-80m-approved-new-commission
  7. From St Louis City SC
  8. Kellen and Robbie at tonight's City match.
  9. Stu put to rest this morning the once raging controversy of why an interim tag for Coach Hurff. He sat down and interviewed Coach Hurff. "Hurff is the interim coach by her choice with an agreement to do the job four months before a decision is made on the future." Read Stu on SLU for the full report.
  10. I have a friend whose family lives in Columbia and he works in STL. He drives in Monday morning, stays in a small apt in town and drives back Friday after work.
  11. Replacement hired....Billiken Hall of Famer Ryan McCoy. It's nice keeping it in the family. https://slubillikens.com/news/2025/8/26/billiken-hall-of-famer-ryan-mccoy-named-swimming-diving-head-coach.aspx
  12. Harmon had a mystery disappearance from Seton Hall last year, appearing in 3 games and not scoring. Before last season he was at B-C for two years and was solid, averaging about 14 ppg. I see another intriguing transfer, 6'8" Doctor Bradley, from UA-Pine Bluff, who averaged 19.6 ppg and 9.5 rpg last season. I'm looking for an interesting game against B-C.
  13. Yeah, I know that you can post anything on the internet and that makes it true. Seems like our game with Bethune-Cookman may not be the normal buy-game roll over. They picked up a former 5* that has been wandering around college basketball for several years. You never know, maybe we lucked into a nice game against the Wildcats.
  14. I opened up this thread to get an update on the 2026 recruit visits this weekend. But what do we have yet another hijacked thread.
