I thought this was a joke at first, but this is from an actual news source.

I wish Thomas Crone (no relation) would come to the excuse "Christmas Break" games.

a certain billikens.com poster is mentioned all over that humpy bumpy. i certainly hope that kind of turnout becomes the norm.

also, you bickering ruh-tards, did you know that we have a GAME TONIGHT!?!?!?!?

It won't be the norm, Jim. Trust me. I've been around this program too long to know it won't be like Saturday for Lamar Odom University.

While I applaud the student turnout I'm surprised no one mentioned the glowsticks thrown on the floor. I hope the Blue Crew leaders do a good job of policing the section and let it be known that conduct like that could hurt the team and the reputation of the university.

It was mentioned in the article. It was also mentioned that that conduct did not last past the player introductions. So it looks like the students policed the matter pretty well with no one having to get kicked out.

I realize it was mentioned in the article. I was surprised it wasn't mentioned on the board. I hope the students policed themselves but I wouldn't know. Perhaps some of the BC can speak to that.

I sit next to the student section, and I only remembered seeing one glow stick thrown on the court, and Declan was there to quickly pick it up. Not that it's excusable, but it was just during the player intros and not during the game. Guy reminded everyone that throwing objects on the court could result in a technical.

That's not the first time someone on this board has used the words "Declan" and "pick up" and "Guy" and "objects" in the same sentence.

+2, user.

Why do you say Gotdamn? You sound like Ned Flanders. Everyone gets what you're trying to say. No use in cutesying your way around it like some grandma.

exactly considering that each student there saturday had a glow stick (still marveling what a neat effect that was and wondering had they handed us all a glow stick AND a tshirt so the whole arena could have played along how intimidating that would have been for brian gregory who is always scared of st louis) to only have one hit the floor is actually pretty amazing. that was a lot of temptation that was held in by the students and they are to be commended for playing nice but creative imo.

Great idea, Roy, to involve the whole building. Too bad we couldn't even get all the peopel who go free shirts to PUT THEM ON! I was amazed at the lack of response. They just put the shirts on their seats. I would have liked to have seen SLU walk down to the front row on the court to implore at least those folks to put theirs on.

Maybe when they do the Whiteout, Guy should announce to folks when to put their shirts on? Tell people at the door NOT to put theirs on until the announcement? 1st timeout of teh half?

I saw glowsticks go up in the are on the video board and I just thought they were being hurled straight up.

There were a couple objects thrown on the floor near the Dayton team before the game.

I figured the reason the lights were turned on during the pre-game introductions was to help make sure they could catch whoever was throwing things from the student section.

Agree with Roy that glow sticks throughout the entire arena would be interesting. What do 10,000 glow sticks cost, anyway? But whenever you give small items to fans at sporting events you never know what might happen.

Why do you care what he says? Does it bother you that much? If so, that's a shame.
