GMan Alum Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Besides being an outstanding basketball player, Yuri Collins is a willing and generous volunteer to improve the neighborhood around St. Mary's High School. Attached is a link to an article in the St. Louis Review in which the entire St. Mary's basketball team assisted the community in a housing initiative to improve the neighborhood. Not only did the team work all day clearing out houses, they did this the morning after their victory in the district championship. As Yuri says in the article, "Anything the community wants us to do, whenever anybody needs something for us to do, we just get up and do the job." Welcome to SLU, Yuri. You are a class act that reflects they type of person that Travis is recruiting. https://www.archstl.org/catholic-community-responds-to-need-for-decent-housing-3739 Pistol, BIG BILL FAN, BJK and 2 others 5 Quote
almaman Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 That rag's still around? "Objectionable in part for all" movie rating caused a baby step away from the church in this born captive ex 's young self in the sixties. Better than CONDEMNED I guess. Quote
GMan Alum Posted March 16, 2019 Author Posted March 16, 2019 Whoa! Your personal grudges aside, the article is a very positive reflection on volunteer work being done by a SLU recruit. Why can't you accept that for what it is? Quote
Old guy Posted March 16, 2019 Posted March 16, 2019 Do not take it personally GMan Alum, that is the way he is. When he starts bothering you just dump him into the ignore pile. Believe me this is a good feature of this blog. Quote
