2-0 SLU. 12 min in first half.

2-0 at halftime.

SLU has 6 shots compared to 0 for Mason. Friedrich and Petit have the goals, with Lavelle and Copeland each with an assist. Looks like a dominant half on paper. Let's hope they keep it up in the second half.

Need to get a quick 3rd and put the game away.

Billikens extend their lead 3-1

3-1 is the final score.

On to the conference finals vs. the winner of VCU and St. Joe's, who kick off in 30 minutes. The final will be Saturday at noon Eastern, 11 am Central.

Big game for SLU women’s soccer today, playing for the NCAA tourney.  Need a win.

Breaking it down a little more prior to the game.....SLU’s semifinal win over George Mason was by far their best power win of the season.  George Mason had a 31 RPI this week.  VCU, SLU’s final opponent had a 64 RPI. (SLU had a 59 this week)

Vanderbilt (15) and Kansas (22) had the strong RPI ratings but SLU lost both games.  SLU had a bad non-comference loss to Kansas St. (161) and wins over UMKC (121) Arkansas St (148).....56 Central Arkansas would have been a better opponent.....Oral Roberts (212) Evansville (271)  SIUE (257)

The A-10 had 4 top 100 RPI teams including SLU. It had 6 teams worse than 200 in RPI.

Good luck to SLU women’s soccer today.

It’s interesting to see that the women’s team gets a lot of second generation billikens(daughters of men’s players) but the men’s team doesn’t seem to have had many over the years. On this team currently are familiar last names like Zaber and Merlo who I believe all had fathers play for the Billikens. Courtney Reimer’s sister was a billiken as well.
