Same thing happens this weekend unfortunately, my oldest one has a game that starts at 12:40. Will they have more home games if they win this one? Currently, without stronger league power numbers, SLU women rely heavily upon a handful of early season power games. Unfortunately they did not get a result in those couple of games, and a few others where a result was had, the opponent didn’t have a strong season. Vandy for example, had a great season, a top 10 team Nationally, SEC champs, but 2-0 loss there. It isn’t easy to do but I would like to see SLU women try to schedule a power team later in the season. They need 1-2 more tougher non-conference games as well in general. They are improving and doing well, but they will need to get results from non-conference power teams to better enhance NCAA resume outside of confefence tourney. Some of that is more effective scheduling. I would add that more effective schedule can and needs to be done as a league in non-conference games to help with league power numbers.
