Blue and White Checkered Pants

Looks like Franklin is sporting a LoudMouth Golf look. I wouldn't mind these for the Bill's games. Not as good as the checkered pants, but not everyone wants to be like The Rican.

Yeah nice pic. Umm someone should tell that slob Albert that you should tuck in shirt while playing golf. Next thing you know he will be wearing jeans out there or maybe those are black jeans he has on. Come on dude, respect the game.

Hey Billiken Fans,

I have been in contact with a designer and custom fabric producer to create some form of the pants below. I also have a seamstress that would be willing to make the pants.

In order to keep the cost lower than $90, the pants will be "pajama pants" style in that they will have an elastic waste band and fit loosely.

I need you to help me figure out what kind of demand there will be for these because the cost of the design and production will depend on how many yards of fabric I will have made. So let me know how many of these pants you think could realistically be sold and at what price. Here is the list of fabric prices per yard of fabric (doesn't include the cost of waste band, designer cost, and seamstress cost)

These seriously need to become a tradition and something that will hopefully catch on. Again, though I think a nice casual pant style (khaki look) would be a big seller. How hard could it be ot find a seemstress to make up a few hundred pair. I for one would buy them for sure. heck I might even buy the PJ pant ones as well. Bring this up again when they are in stock in early Dec--we could all ask for them for Christmas presents and start a new tradition with the new year. Does anyone know anyone in the AD departmetn that has anything to with the Billiken apparel or the fan shop at the Fetz? These could instantly become top sellers.

I will re-post after I purchase my pair in Dec.

I contacted the Spirit Shop in Chaifetz. They looked into having them made and basically said no because they would have to buy through the loudmouth golf website where they are 90 bucks.

I contacted Loud Mouth Golf. I got them to spill the company in China that they buy their fabric from.

I tried contacting the company, located in Shanghai (city that speaks some English I believe), but got no response. I just said I am interested in purchasing fabric from you, what kind of designs do you have?

If anyone knows Chinese at all, or wants to contact them, message me and I will email you the contact information of the fabric company. My grandma said she would seamstress them for free (just the cost of the elastic bands etc). So if we can have the fabric soon, we could get these pants going.

I tried calling them once and it went like this.............

(replace the word 'japanese' with 'chinese')

I corresponded with the company as well about bumping up production of the pants. I was originally told Dec 7th. I pressed a bit to see if it was at all possible to get them sooner. I was told maybe late November was the best the could do. Obviously, not nearly soon enough. Does anyone know someone in textiles here in town--ask around. Someone has to be able to make some pants for less than $90.

I for one hope they become readily available and it catches on. It would be so ridiculous people couldn't help but take notice and it would bring some attention to the program. UD can have their sweater vests--we will have goofy checkered pants.

custom making fabric is expensive. we need to get to the source loudmouth gets it from. I have the contact, but I don't speak chinese, lol.

If we custom made the fabric, it would be $60+ for pants and they'd be lesser quality and that's with free seam-stressing.

It's 28 bucks a yard for custom fabric. GET TO THE SOURCE!

As Godfather of these said pants I really hope this catches on. However, imitations will not be and should not be welcome at the Fetz. If the fabric matches the loudmouth pants then go for it, if not you are wasting your time and money.

Agreed, the Loudmouth pants are obviously the cream of the crop. If they aren't going to be available until the conference season, so be it.

Consistency is the key here.

I know I'm bumping up an old thread, but when those of you who have the Loudmouth Golf checkered pants bought them, did you have to buy a 40 waist or higher and have them tailored? Whenever I've looked, they've only had the waist in 40 and above.

They typically carry all sizes. If you email them they've given availability dates in the past....they do shrink in wash.

Thanks. I saw that they had some on sale, but they were all 40+ in the waist. Right now it looks like the only way to get them in smaller sizes is to do the Made to Order option, which goes for over $100.
