I did get 10 of the NBA/ABA players - all that does is confirm I have been a long-time, long-frustrated Billikena fan. Forgot about Rich Parks - that kid could jump, and David Burns. I never knew that Wilcutt and Schatzmann played in the league. DC is still revered, and rightfully so, at CBC. In fact, I just spend a couple nights at CBC at the gym and tournament named after him. Gary Garrison was a monster back in the very early 60's at CBC and if his knees would have held up (or he had the medical technology they have today) would rank in the top ten in every category for SLU. Thanks. As someone who has only been a frustrated fan since the early 1990s, I have to admit that I had no idea who most of the guys on the NBA/ABA quiz were. Easy Ed was pretty much the only SLU history I knew. Thank God for Basketball Reference. FYI, DC only played in 59 games and Schatzmann only played in 34 per BBall Ref. GMan Alum Posted January 14, 2013 Share Posted January 14, 2013 Even though I was very little, I did get to see Easy Ed and Bob Ferry play in the NBA, but from Bob "Big Bevo" Nordmann on, I saw them play at SLU....the old Kiel used to really rock back then. - for both the Bills and the Hawks. RUBillsFan Posted May 28, 2013 Author Share Posted May 28, 2013 So the weird thing I noticed while I was making the Billiken players A-Z quiz is that there is only one player listed in the record book for Q. This player only has a last name listed (whereas almost all the other entries have first and last). He apparently played 2 games during the 1944-45 season and made 1 FT.
