NashvilleBilliken
Good stuff. It would be nice to beat out 3 BCS schools for his services.
DeSmetBilliken
Let's hope that Majerus and Moser can close the deal on this kid. He's a big kid, and hopefully he'll be impressed by Rick's success stories with big guys, such as Keith Van Horn and Michael Doleac. He would be the highest ranked recruit we've had at least since Marque Perry(not sure where exactly Marque was ranked, but knew he was top 100), and possibly the highest ranked recruit since Hughes. Abe Froman
Darren Clarke was ranked top 100 in some services. Thompson sounds like more of a banger than Van Horn (a 3) and Doleac (a 5 with a 4's game).

Basketball Junkie
From Rivals.com The opening night of the Sabes Invitational saw the favorites take care of business: "Brett Thompson of the Illinois Warriors went down early against Minnesota Select with a leg injury but came back seven minutes later to show both a left-handed move out of the post, a right handed jump hook and a quick spin lay-in with the right. Thompson also made all eight of his free throw attempts and a square-up jumper out of the post showing a nice touch for a 6-foot-10 center. He finished with 16 points playing a very steady game." slu72
Any bets on this kid being on Mosser's radar screen before he came to SLU? Therefore, we didn't just jump onto his bandwagon. I like his name....Go ins
ACE
>Good stuff. It would be nice to beat out 3 BCS schools for >his services. You got your wish!!! Who says we can't ourecruit the almighty BCS schools. The days of excuses are over. An 08 commitment this early!!! The previous regime would still be stuck scrambling to round out 07 recruiting. ACE
I know the previous staff laid the groundwork and they deserve credit for that. They were able to generate some interest, but it just seemed that getting commitments was like pulling teeth. The previous staff also deserves a lot of credit with Eberhardt. Having Rick on board already is making it easier to close the deal.
