Majerus Magic
Paul has decided to attend SLU, but will not play basketball anymore.
Milwaukee Billiken
Not even as a walk-on?
jimbofive
I gotta think he tries to walk on to play for Majerus... How could you be that good of a high school player then just not care anymore? No knock, just surprised that he didn't go to a bigger school if academics was his only concern.
Box and Won
That's great that he's decided to come to SLU - he sounds like the kind of kid that any university would want to have as a student. Maybe a certain new coach could persuade him to walk on...
stlsfinest
I'll believe it when i see it. A few games in the rec center w/ some of the team members, and he'll realize that he has the ability to play at this level.
jimbofive
I know that players have been trying to persuade good ol' Peyton Jacks to walk on again... I can't imagine that Luke won't try to pressure Paul into playing as well.
Box and Won
Obviously, academics come first for him, as they should. Just admit him to the Pre-Med Scholars program, so that all he needs to do is maintain a 3.0 for his first two years and then he's automatically accepted into the med school. Billikan
From what I have heard he is a very fine young man and he will be a great addition to our student body. I had a nephew who was a very fine high school player but decided to just be a regular student in college. Interesting!
VTIME
That would be the perfect scenario for him. Playing with his cousin for a year to get comfortable.
Four Seventeen
Peyton is probably the best shooter other than Lisch on the team. He reminds me of Nash. No, not Nash Bridges. Steve Nash.
Westy03
I agree. He is lights out from three.
VTIME
Are you talking volume shooter or percentage shooter because Liddell just had the 6th best percentage in school history.
Four Seventeen
Just being a pure shooter. Has a great touch.
jimbofive
Although only in pickup games - I've seen Peyton win games by himself putting up effortless, perfect form jumpers from the red line. Fadeaway threes aren't a problem either. He's no JJ Redick but you'd be surprised how well he would stack up against any other guard on the team from the perimeter. Westy03
Yeah I guess we do. But anyway if Peyton tried out again I would agree that he would be the second best shooter on team. Im not saying he is good enough to play(too short, not fast enough, etc...) but he would be a good practice player for the team. Too bad he blew out his knee. Ive seen him light too many people up at the rec.
billiken_roy
v, i would assume they are talking about playing horse or around the world.
crymdg2
I'm just giving you a little trouble from a Sig Ep that has gotten lit up by Peyton on too many occasions. I agree with you though.
