  1. I can definitely use your tickets. Will message you.
  2. We truly are operating at a Power 5 level in Women’s soccer. Nice to see - at least for the insignificant minority of those of us on this board who enjoy a good soccer game…;)
  3. All good points, IU outplayed Washington the week prior. Should have won. SLU would have hosted the next game. One can only imagine the insane scenario……10,000 fans?? Moore is exactly what this team is missing, a technical, quick, striker. Not certain Komodi was a major piece last season; but Buendia definitely was.
  4. Definitely more Thames. No one else on the team brings what he brings.
  5. Larson was second team A10….tell me one player, let alone 11, who are better than she is in the A10. She was the best player on the field today…including the PSU players. And not taking anything away from PSU. They are the best team the Bills have played since the Rutgers team who scorched us in the second round a couple of years ago.
  6. Yeap, I get the same vibe with Thames…it’s like he’s on the verge of taking it to another level of which we’ve only seen glimpses…
  7. Curious as to whether or not recruiting class rankings include foreign (non-transfer) players. I have a feeling they do not….
  8. I did watch the 2nd half of the Hoyas-ODU game. Izzy and Eva are going to need to bring their A+ game. Hoya right wing #6 is a speed merchant with serious skills. Destroyed the ODU left side…
  9. Old Dominion is not a walkover for Hoyas. They are a solid team. Destroyed their A10 competition and played Hokies straight up. But, yeah,….let’s get by IU first…
  10. Rhetorical….but how is Larson not first team?? She is, in my opinion, our most technical player.
  11. Yep, I heard Travis a week ago state (I’m paraphrasing a bit) “we are going to press, press and press some more. Press and trap. Almost every time the opponent has the ball. And TJ will play a large amount of time at the 5. Will be an heck of a match up problem for opponents bigs. Our strengths are the 1, 2 and 3…Meadows is an amazing player, will be the primary 1.” Travis had a UMass team that played this way. Beat a bunch of blue bloods. Made the semi-finals of the NIT I believe.
  12. Missouri State is good, really good. They moved the ball around as well as any college team I’ve seen this year. If they find a way to correct their unfortunate finishing…..look out…. Also, our GK’s are not receiving enough Kudos. They’ve both been fantastic in the several games I’ve watched. I understand completely why Kalish plays both of them. Finally, did Moore receive a red shirt, or are we holding out hope he recovers and plays this year?
  13. My only comment from last night: Sawyer needs to play more. Her pace was the only consistently effective weapon in the Bills offensive arsenal.
  14. Did we know Carlos was this good when we recruited him? Only downside is he’s most likely a one and done.
  15. I don’t know who Kalish uses to scout for his keepers, but the guy deserves a raise. Schulte, German last year and the French keep this year. All fabulous. Several world class saves last night. And that Leatherman kid….did not make a bad pass all game. Finally, and this is the one massive downer…we won’t get to see Moore play this year..sucks.
  16. Come on….Ramey stating he was a lock to play for SLU if he was guaranteed a starting PG position is what put a stop to all the UT nonsense. Eliminated all the leverage.
  17. I’ve never watched a Billiken softball game. Out of the blue I remembered they were in the tournament. Checked to see how they were doing. Saw they were headed to the bottom of the 7th - on the verge of elimination. Season over. Tuned in. …..and I can’t believe I’m saying this but I agree with you - it is a better spectator sport than collegiate baseball, at least in the case of this bottom of the 7th. Non-stop. Single, HBP, walk and smash to right, catchable but dropped. Runner scores either way for a tie. Drop means we win. Wow! Sorry to miss the next game which starts in about 10 minutes.
  18. Yuri needs to watch and emulate hermano Facundo….if he can get his passing to that level there may be a spot for him..
  19. Old Guy as coach…this gave me a good chuckle. Thanks for the levity!
  20. Disu injury a negative, but the UT bench is so strong. And they have Carr. I remember him from a couple of years ago - shredded the Bills. Goodwin. Thatch. No one could lay a glove on him.
  21. UConn impressive, no doubt, but I don’t see anyone beating Texas. UT will be favored over anyone left in the tournament.
  22. Sit KM and run plays for Clegg. She and Brooke are the only two who are not totally freaked out by the big stage.
  23. This is SLU mi amigo. To state the vast majority of SLU fans could not care less about soccer is simply incorrect. Did you attend the LIU playoff game two years ago? As insane as any Basketball game. If IU had managed to beat Washington in a parallel game, we would have had 10,000 plus….if only….
  24. Your last paragraph brought up a fond memory. A few years back I went on a post-university spring break to Panama City with a group of friends from Nashville. Town was full of 20-30 year old men going around shouting “War Eagle” “Roll Tide” “ Go Dogs”, etc. A 6’3” 230 pound guy was standing on the edge of a pool shouting “Go Dogs!” One of my friends, about the same size, walks over, pushes the Dog into the pool and shouts “‘How about them Vols?!” The Dog stands up in the water and says “Well cuz, Georgia kicked Tennessee’s ass, Georgia Tech kicked Vanderbilt’s ass, and I’m going to kick your ass!!” As I saw this was about to get ugly, I offered to by the Dog a beer, the situation was defused, and we all agreed the Bama folks were the biggest jerks….
  25. The LaSalle -Fordham announcers said something about the Fordham fans getting there early and making a lot of noise during the Dayton game. Were they all cheering for SJU? If so, I hope they all get there early again tomorrow and cheer on their fellow Jesuit institution against VCU - could be a huge boost for the Bills!
