  1. I liked Brad and was sad when he was let go. Then we hired RickMa and I was excited. I’ll always root for Brad and the game in St Charles with Drejaj versus Iowa is one of my favorite Bills games ever. I am sad he was beat up on the board. I went to almost every game back then, but didn’t follow the message board.
  2. Or SLU can drop a few sports of course. I am assuming we are above the minimum number of sports requirements for the A-10.
  3. I actually would not be surprised at all if having the open position means some trivial document or signature or verification is not happening.
  4. It is tough to speculate on Parker until we hear more details. Often times, a broken foot is significantly easier and quicker to recover from than a sprained ankle. Of course we know about how bad stress fractures and chronic foot issues can be (more commonly seen in taller players). I have no reason to believe this is that. I have no inside information, but it seems that Parker's foot injury is most likely of the much more minor variety.
  5. Also didn’t get our second FG to start the game until 15:18 when Bruce got his and-1. The middle 22 minutes were great though.
  6. Suddenly a flurry of turnovers. Good to see Parker back in
  7. This may come off as slightly more negative than I intend, but administratively I feel the AD has always made more than its fair share of mistakes and I think that is more about leadership and oversight at this point. I think of odd examples like when the fire alarm went off during a game at Chaifetz and there did not seem to be a standard process on what to do. I also think of things that are just mysteries like our game tonight originally being an 8 PM game (and not sure why). It is wonderful it was rescheduled, but there was effort spent correcting that error (assuming 8 PM was an error in judgment or typing in start times or something other than a logical choice). I always liked the expression that if you do not have time to do something right in the first place, when are you going to find time to do it again.
  8. This true? I really do not know....but it's a real bummer to read.
  9. Definitely a cramp. It was in his calf. in real time it sorta looked like he hyperextended his knee, but replay showed he definitely didn’t. He also grabbed right for the back of his calf. They gave him fluids while on court and were trying to rub out the cramp in his calf.
  10. Well Old Guy, you will not be impressed when I share my thoughts when Stan Kroenke passes away. I am in the camp that likes Bob Knight. I enjoyed Alford’s book about playing with him. Bob Knight is what he is and is certainly much more aggressive than most people. It also was not a secret. I would’ve had no problem playing for him or allowing my child (assuming it was compatible with their personality) to play for him. So far now, you can still opt to associate with me if you’d like.
  11. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/west-virginias-akok-akok-stable-responsive-after-collapsing-during-game-vs-george-mason-153257337.html
  12. Problem is that would render the regular season nearly meaningless.
  13. I cannot wait for UNC to turn down their "automatic" NIT invite the next time they don't make the NCAA tournament. What a joke.
  14. I also agree while he developed at SLU, but will state the obvious that the biggest driving force in Jordan's improvement is Jordan himself. I do think the multiple roles he filled and multiple opportunities to use multiple skills in a game were certainly a help. He got lots of time on ball and off ball. He got to be the primary offensive option and secondary options. He defended multiple opposing positions. His rebounding was obviously remarkable, but he displayed an entire tool of skills while at SLU. I never thought of him as a great shooter, but he was certainly very adequate and was allowed to shoot in close, mid range, and from beyond the arc. The coaches and coaching is a large part of him getting to do all those things.
  15. Donnie Dobbs had the superpower of being incredibly sweaty. That superpower certainly made it harder to box him out.
  16. Ezewiro also has only left due to coaching changes (or at least that is the timing as I don’t know all his reasoning). The WVU kid also just left this time during a coaching change, but the previous wasn’t. The LSU change was especially messy. Who knows what the NCAA is or is not thinking though. Plenty of things the NCAA could highlight as special circumstances if they felt like it due to the mess that LSU was due to infractions getting Will Wade ultimately canned.
  17. How have I not seen this video? I know the song and remember it well. This is amazing.
  18. Of course the most likely scenario is that Stanford, Cal, Oregon State, and Washington State are just gonna be left out to dry. This is about money and driving revenue streams. Those four schools would need to convince a conference that they make more money with them than without them. It'll be a tough sell regardless of the size of the cities or numbers of alumni. SLU has a lot of alumni in St. Louis, but only a small portion are loyal, steady SLU sports fans. Stanford's best shot was the Big10 would want them for academic/research reasons (Big10 makes a lot of money doing government research). The Big10 ship has almost certainly sailed (although never say never). The Pac-12 was stripped for parts because they couldn't make enough money as a group. Oregon and Washington are joining as lesser paid Big10 members. The remaining members are in a pretty terrible spot athletically. Stanford will be fine financially overall and of course has the more traditional view of student-athletes that I prefer. I like the tree and will root for them, but they are in a bad spot athletically. The other three are even worse off. It sucks....but this is college sports now.
