The next two games are really telling. They are absolutely must win, and if we do win and assuming we take care of SIUE we are right back on track for an at-large. But we absolutely can't lose the next two games.

It seems like the NET and Kenpom equate each other as we get closer to the end of the season- so I wouldn't take much stock in these initial rankings.

And I missed him as I watched Providence pull down offensive rebound after offensive rebound.

I was wondering about this too. I think last couple years pre-COVID they did indeed do one. It's a great opportunity to interact with fans and hype the team up so it should 100% be done every year.

I would add this: Our loss there last year probably cost us a tournament appearance. I certainly don't want to lay down and just let them get theirs (yes I know it would be good for the conference). Also, I don't think resting the team for one game will materially affect how we would play next Thursday. Just my opinion. It's senior day, win baby.

This isn't talked about nearly enough. Our defense has absolutely been blown up in several of our losses (At Bonnies, At Davidson, At Memphis, at Umass, Home Vs. UAB). All of these games gave up 75 points or more. And our defensive rebounding has been a recurring problem throughout the year. (currently only at 130 in Def Rebounding % on Kenpom). This is where the loss of Goodwin and French hurts the most.

Bonnies have been flopping all over the place tonight.

Okoro is a machine on defense today.

We can't guard a chair. I know Umass is good offensively but we literally couldn't get a stop in the 2nd half.

Loved Okoro's game last night. He is a game changer for us defensively.

Did anyone happen to see the play that triggered Okoro getting benched tonight? I know he has struggled finishing at the rim, but I have to think he would've played better D against their starting center that a Linssen in foul trouble down the stretch?

We used to lose games because we couldn't shoot from the field or from the line. Now when we lose we're allowing upper 40's in FG% and allowing 10+ offensive rebounds, which we've seen in wins too. Once we can clean those two items up we'll be very good.

George Mason leading Maryland 32-31 at half. Josh Oduro looks very improved from when we played Mason 2 seasons ago, and their transfers look great as well.
