I agree, the NCAA app works great, and provides a universal DVR for all games. OT: I chose this because, like many posts, it is personal, imperfect, and perhaps provocative to some members. Actually, my impression from this and an earlier interview (with Brando on CBS) is that this fine young coach is saying what he knows must be said, and what in his head he may know to be true; but, like most of the experts, he is really looking past us to MSU. That selection Sunday video tells the story. Memphis was shocked that they were seeded down to our level. They look on us like we looked at .. well, URI. Our guys will show up to play, and we will surprise Memphis with RM-style basketball that will not be to their liking.

Tim Brando (CBS Sports Network, daily at 9am) is working our Friday game on TBS He favors Memphis in our game, and I think Michigan State to win out.

If you don't have it, you'll know how to ask for it at any sports bar. (They often don't know anything). First, check what's on CBS Sports network right now from the website. Look up your favorite bar's zip code and phone number. Call them up and ask: "What provider do you have?" (use tool to look up the channel for their zip and provider) Say "Please tune to channel ### and tell me what you see". I believe Lunardi pointed out some time ago that we needed to be above the top A-10 separation point, which is where we are. Temple and SLU are in, regardless of who wins the tourney and how they do it. Of course we should seal the deal by smashing LaSalle and anyone else we face. (Edit: This reasoning works because there are only two teams at the top, and there is nothing new about the A-10 getting three dancers)

I think he wanted to avoid the trap of hyping too soon and then not meeting expectations. Now he knows the program is in place, the wins are coming, its time to spread the word. Also, this is required listening before anyone starts another thread to reorganize our league or schedule our non-con games. Its time to leave our little valley, and head for the big cities. Thanks, I believe we dipped a bit at one point, wanted to confirm we regained and maintained top grade to the finish. Accepting your grades, it is clear both why we are at the top of our league, and why we don't get much respect for being there. A good run now will fix that. Go Bills!

A nice idea, but would Self go for it? He can pick and choose, and I think he prefers to play serious non-conference opponents in Lawrence. RM might have better luck getting the Duke games he covets.

I have come to feel the same way, and Mizzou has made it clear she doesn't care to date SLU. Fine, that's her decision, don't keep chasing her. Instead, ask someone else for a date. SLU always competes vigorously with UIUC for undergraduate & professional students, and is again competitive in hoops. Illinois has a new AD and will soon have a new coach, and should be open to new (or renewed) relationships. I think May & Majerus should give them a call. (This should probably have been a new topic, if anyone seconds the idea, feel free to start one)
