  1. F*ck Biondi. Rick's health would have (most likely) failed no matter what, but f*ck him. Couple national articles about the step-down: http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/blog/eye-on-college-basketball/19899912/rick-majerus-heart-issue-may-signal-end-of-remarkable-career http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/andy_glockner/08/24/rick-majerus-indefinite-medical-leave-saint-louis/index.html?eref=twitter_feed
  2. I think you're failing to consider the same thing... and 50/50 is actually a pretty good ratio for said board.
  3. Scoop's scoop. Anyone over 6'8" gets me real excited.
  4. Great stuff. Also had a little back-and-forth with Andy Glockner on Twitter last night when he was asking people what games should be considered for this list (I said SLU/KU, *semi-final results pending), and his response was, "Discussed that game possibility last week. Love it. Have SLU-Washington on this list, though." Here's the excerpt/link to the CBE classic preview he wrote: "CBE Classic: Kansas will be favored in the Kansas City event, but the Texas A&M-Saint Louis semi should be worth admission on its own. The Billikens should be the preseason pick to win the Atlantic 10 and the Aggies should be more settled than last season, when head coach Billy Kennedy's illness really helped derail things from the outset. If it's a Kansas-Saint Louis final, count me in. Two outstanding coaches and local teams that should generate a lot of buzz in the Sprint Center." http://sportsillustr...ents/index.html #BillikensRising
  5. Hopefully this isn't a serious question, since Pistol was clearly asking a question/theorizing himself, and not stating fact. Maybe brush up on a little reading comprehension.. (also, "neighborhoods" in quotes? nice.)
  6. Going to be really glad in 2 years when Wells is not in the X starting line-up... loved his game last year.
  7. Sorry, in my original response I was assuming the cameras were police operated for some reason (like the ones Box mentions). Also, please forget I ever mentioned the word "taxpayers" (never again). Not sure why people would be that upset over a few cameras set-up, especially after a crime like this.. Maybe not have them live-monitored, but at least available to review at the end of each day if something like this (a crime) occurs. But to each his own.
  8. Honestly can't believe the police department would pass on any type of immediate SPECULATION, such as this, to the point where it is being reported by news outlets less than 24 hours after the crime. Makes me sick. Also, this might be straight ignorance on my part, but what is the point of the "live cameras" if no one's watching them(?)... is it that expensive to have them record all day, and then delete and start over if nothing significant happens? Seems like something pretty reasonable taxpayers could actually get behind.
  9. A+++ and another + for the chess v. checkers line. Bringing the logic and the thunder, jbizz.
  10. Weak. We'd crush Stanford. Worst case scenario the team gets a kick in the pants like after the Loyola loss. Also tend to doubt Majerus and co. would back out "because we thought if we blew the game it would hurt our chance in the rankings" ... more likely we found someone better to play, fingers crossed.
  11. http://www.leadinglawyers.com/atty_profile.cfm?TOCUID=1051325 Don't worry bros, his community involvement is "extensive"
  12. Does anybody really want to send their kids to SLU at this point?
  13. Freshmen year ('06) a buddy and I had the "opportunity" to wear dresses (borrowed, possibly returned) and lip-synch the background music to this song while another buddy wore the flasher costume (http://foodnetworkhu...her-costume.jpg) and handled lead vocals. Clocktower, 3pm, on a weekday for some sorority talent show. Alcohol required.

  15. I love that this follows your first paragraph in which all you are is condescending towards UConn. Also, agree that NCAA's are more important... but if we're going to be the pre-season favorites to win the A-10 (seems to be the consensus), I will be disappointed if we don't win the A-10. Sweet 16 does seem like a reasonable progression/expectation/goal for this team, which is ###### awesome.
  16. I don't hate this thread... Bills will have one of the best backcourts/defenses in the nation, and I can't wait to see Keith Carter play. The sky is the limit - Weezy
  17. Nothing says summer optimism like perusing the venues for next season's dance: First Four (March 19 and 20) University of Dayton Arena, Dayton, Ohio Second and third rounds (March 21/23) and (22/24) The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, Michigan (Host: Oakland University) Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky (Host: University of Kentucky) EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, Utah (Host: University of Utah) HP Pavilion, San Jose, California (Host: West Coast Conference) University of Dayton Arena, Dayton, Ohio (Host: University of Dayton) Frank Erwin Center, Austin, Texas (Host: University of Texas at Austin) Sprint Center, Kansas City, Missouri (Host: Missouri Valley Conference) Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Host: Temple University) Regional sites (March 28/30) and (29/31) East Regional, Verizon Center, Washington, D.C. (Host: Georgetown University) West Regional, Staples Center, Los Angeles, California (Host: Pepperdine University) Midwest Regional, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana (Hosts: Butler University, IUPUI, Horizon League) South Regional, Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, Texas (Host: Big 12 Conference) Final Four - Atlanta (April 6 and 8) Georgia Dome (Host: Georgia Institute of Technology)Distance-wise, Kansas City would be an awesome first/second round trip, with Kentucky or a return to Ohio also pretty doable. For the Regionals, I'd probably hope for a return to Indianapolis, though the idea of playing S16/E8 games in Jerry's World makes me a little woozy as well. The Kool-Aid is flowin'
  18. Thanks for posting. This guy gets it.
  19. Rumor has it Ichiro is headed to NY to play for the Bronx Bombers... ah f*ck, that's actually true.
  20. Great post/reasonable expectation for the future. Those mid-December games vs. the Alabama A&M's of the world also help skew our numbers a bit.
