  1. There is a 'for sale' sign on the warehouse right behind Reinert as you drive by on 64E. 9.5 acres I believe. Only worry would be that the gov't would want some of it with the Greenway project that is planned and we might get less than true market value on it if that ends up happening. Knowing Biondi though, i don't see how SLU doesn't end up buying it
  2. Would like to go back to the minute breakdown, i don't think anyone on the team will be over 30mpg next year with the possible exception of KM. I see us subbing quite a bit more and keeping guys fresh. Beginning of the season against some of the cupcakes we will (unfortunately) probably be facing, WR, KM and CE will hopefully not need to play as much, as others will have the opportunity to gain experience and keep our big time scorers fresh for a late season run. Also, the situation at the 2-guard will be extremely interesting, as we may have more than one person who can play a D1 style 3 (DE, CE, JR?, JS?) limiting the playing time for other guards who had stepped in at the 3 this season. Also remember that an injured FJ contributed nearly 18mpg this season while playing. Despite having neither leaping ability nor lateral quickness, he helped our team. IF he can get healthy, he can give us a mismatch in the backcourt. With so many options for next years lineup, Majerus might need to schedule a meeting with Tony LaRussa.
  3. KC was cramping up all game as were KM and WR. they all really toughed it out to finish out the season. overall, i don't think we could have expected more from this group of kids this season in the circumstances we faced. tough way to end the season, but you gotta give credit where it's due
  4. Illinois - 66 Stony Brook - 161 Kent State - 49 Tulsa - 73 Dayton - 42 Illinois State - 80 Cincinnati - 62 Weber State - 89 Arizona State - 68 Jacksonville - 147 Seton Hall - 61 Texas Tech - 65 Memphis - 60 St. John’s - 81 Mississippi - 47 Troy - 119 Virginia Tech - 51 Quinnipiac - 144 UCONN - 64 Northeastern - 79 Wichita State - 54 Nevada - 69 Rhode Island - 28 Northwestern - 124 Mississippi State - 59 Jackson State - 204 UNC - 70 William & Mary - 67 South Florida - 77 NC State - 89 UAB - 47 Coastal Carolina - 139 AVG = 82.34 The NIT is way lower. i got an average of 82.34. However, the RPI calculator I used has factored in games since selection (not sure if yours did) so SLU's RPI, for example, is at 72 right now.
  5. $10 for a student ticket, but you also receive a Domino's coupon and there is free pizza before the game; so i guess try and eat ten bucks worth...
  6. Rammer doesn't believe in Germany
  7. In the 1st half we were getting open looks, but generally missing the shots - except for CS who looked really good on offense tonight (too many fouls though on D). Their zone was quite effective, as that was the defense they utilized during their run to end the 1st half and I figured they would stick with it. However, in the 2nd half, they stopped switching between man and zone, but really upped the ball pressure and overplayed us on off-the-ball screens, denying open looks from the perimeter. The way to combat this is to backdoor-cut, but for some reason or another this does not seem to be an option in our offense. This led to us forcing shots from outside. As for the hand-checking, literally every other team we have played in conference does it and gets away with it. A few calls were made on the perimeter for holding/reaching during non-con, but nothing since the conference season began. Unfortunately, we haven't really taken advantage of this, although I have seen KC hand-check his man effectively to prevent easy penetration. Hopefully the coaches will pick up on this and realize how much of a disadvantage this is against wing players who like to attack the basket - the type of player we often have trouble with.
  8. Sure was. he put up 52 earlier this season for his marshalltown cc team. an athletic scoring wing who can create his own shot would be a great addition to this team and take tons of pressure off KM. unfortunately, it seems ISU wants him, a teammate is going there, he has a relationship with the coach etc. also, if he came to SLU, that would probably mean no Loe
  9. my roommate saw a player on billikens.com while working in a computer lab over in the bschool. i won't say which one, in order to keep him out of trouble.
  10. He was awesome. Unfortunately, he got in a bit of trouble with the arena security/DPS after the game. Couldn't hear everything, but they were not too pleased
  11. repost from oh willie! ... seems more fitting here If you showed me only our side of the box score, I would have thought we won the game w/o too much difficulty. However, Crawford is a stud and they had some circus shots that NEVER go in. Surprisingly, our D is what let us down today, letting them shoot a high percentage from the field and giving up too many offensive boards. Willie's FT shooting was obviously disappointing, but we had so many opportunities to take control of the game, you can't single the kid out. He played great other than those adventures at the FT line. Overall, a great effort by the billikids... Most impressive stat of the night: SLU 17 assists to 6 turnovers

  13. Kyle seems to be continuing his run of good play
  14. well, it would definitely be due to his love of basketball, because rickma has clearly stated in the past he does not feel that way about men
  15. miklasz Majerus is doing a terrific job with the nation's youngest team. has bernie joined the bandwagon?
  16. so what does signing the nli actually entail? as far as i know, that just means he commits to play here. scholarships are handled separately (so says my friend who was on the cc team and went through all of this). so hypothetically, he could pull an eckerle and come here, intent on paying his own way (plus academic scholarships, tuition remission, etc.) from the get go without an athletic scholarship. is there some flaw in this line of reasoning that i remain oblivious to? if so, any explanation would be much appreciated...
  17. haha, unfortunately it is not snooki... but it is The Situation. should be awesome. also, props to Ian and his Chewbacca suit. as he would say, "yeah, buddy!"
  18. Jersey Shore fans will see a Situation in the student section during the Xavier game
  19. The band is already two-toned with the rugbies, but we will all have the blue out & white out shirts too, so that's a possibility. We'll bring it up with Mike.
  20. Alright, thanks for the info... I don't know much about NCAA rules, but this did seem a little too good to be true. Darn.
  21. Heard a rumor that Dwayne Evans will be going here as a walk-on with an academic scholarship. Has anyone heard something similar to this? It would make sense, as we always hear about how great of a student he is. Also, his sister went to WashU and that's a bit pricey especially with no athletic scholarships at that level. Maybe his parents are willing to pony up a little extra for him to go to SLU? Also, this makes the ongoing recruitment of Loe make quite a bit more sense, as no one would be losing a scholarship as a result of his presence here at SLU.
  22. Definitely. Once CS truly finds his stroke, I think he'll be a game changer after adding that in addition to his already stellar D and swagger. Also, I would expect CE to have more room for overall improvement (than CS), just because of the gaps in his game at the present. CS can get better at shooting and general decision making, but that's about it... Maybe a pull-up jumper and ability to penetrate too, but those are usually natural abilities. CE can develop a post game, get into better shape and also become a force off the bounce from the perimeter/high post. And that doesn't even include places where he can improve on the defensive side (both on the ball and off the ball D needs work). CE is already good, but could develop the tools to become a dominant college player. CS will be a solid contributor and sometimes-spark plug off the bench for the next three years - like BC, except at the guard position - but I don't see his game improving by leaps and bounds, which CE does have the opportunity to do.
