He is an intramural star playing at D1 . He will hit a shot once in a while but he does not help the team's chemistry when he is out there. 6-2 since DJs minutes have increased and his have decreased. Maybe not a stiff in your eyes but obviously a detriment to a winning team He pays zero minutes if we had one other guard on the bench

Welmer will not return this season. His career might be over which is a shame as he had real promise to be a great player for us.

I said this last year also. We will not be successful with Hines playing. I sit near the bench and see Travis virtually grimace when he has to put him in . Unfortunately he is the only guard and has no other option.Frustrating for him l am sure.

Totally agree Roy. Or at the very least communicate something. I was close to Rick and the handling of a similar situation with Willie etc made him very angry to the point I thought he might leave the program. Travis may be going through the same thing.

I personally believe that he could be our best guard with continued improvement on our existing roster.

With Zeke Moore leaving and Duquesne losing its coach I would be all over getting Mike Lewis to come home to Saint Louis.

Wiz is stating reality.Waiting for the clock to run out is the only consolation for this year. It is unwatchable basketball and truly is the worst team I have ever seen the Billikens put on the floor.

Effort was there but don't get over excited...the athleticism of Davidson is a better match up for us versus the rest of the A 10..look at last year's result against Davidson. We also will not shoot 3's like that at most games..

Over my 20+ years of watching the Billikens this in my estimation is the worst team I have witnessed. Even in the down years I never felt like this as it is impossible to believe we can pull off a win

Tremendous post Bonwich..was thinking the same watching the halftime and the fleeing by the supposed athletes ...I do not post a lot but am a long time supporter and was a friend of Rick...there is no way he wanted Crews in charge of this ..Alex J and their fallout along with his health all contributed to the steps that followed..Alex was like his son and it devastated him when Alex left. Crews was a "let me help out an old buddy call" Those close to the situation knew it was the wrong call for Crews as I myself do not know if he was even excited to no longer be interim.The sound of the apathy around the program is deafening but the question remains..Is anybody listening that can change this train wreck ?

He kept referring to it in the post game with Earl ...we were tired. Maybe they are tired of him and his ineptitude as a coach . 2 games in the past 11 days does not equate into a "tired" team

With all due respect to your statistical brilliance...this is in NO WAY a C- team...the eye test is all I need to tell you how bad this team is...no true point guard..no inside presence ..no defense ..only have a chance if we are hitting 3s

Wiz..love your passion but you can look at numbers anyway you want..we are not and have never been a C team this year.. Your quote " our last easy game" and they were playing without their best player. Yes they had a miracle at the end of the half but to say that is why we lost is crazy..we flat out stink and the coach is at a loss on what to do about it
