There were only a couple of names that I knew and my quess is that people like Sanzere do very few A10 games.

It would be interesting to see what the A10 pays vs.the other top leagues. My guess is they pay quite a bit less. If my memory serves I seem to remember Woolard talking about CUSA having to raise pay and benefits to attract the top officials. As I said once before Wellmer,O'Neil and the boys never looked so good.

Speaking of outside shooting I'm worried about Luke. I'm not convinced that he can shoot it enough to be next years starting 3 man.Don't forget we lose Dreja,someone who can shoot the 3 and help open up the middle. I still hope that Danny Brown can be that guy.

This begs the question of why must we always be in the pack defense. Several times we doubled to help Ian and they passed out for open 3's.Ian doesn't need help,certainly not against Dayton.

I'll take my chances. Split the next 2 games. win 3 in the tournament. Lose in the first round of the NCAA's Win the next 2. Win 2 in Cinnci. Lose in first round of the NIT. Oh hell we'll just win out and become national champs.

Worries about Brad going somewhere is a typical Billiken inferiority complex. I like Brad but come on. What has he done to get hired away? Don't get me wrong I think Brad is a good fit for our program but it's more about potential than results. Were not talking about Bruce Pearl numbers. Lets go to the dance a few years,then a trip to the sweet 16,then you might talk about him at higher profile jobs.

I think Scott does a great job. He does his homework. He actually talks to the coaching staff and gets a little perspective on the gameplan. I don't know if he has any broadcasting ambitions[he does other games such as the MVC] but he seems to work at it. On the other hand Joe Wiley just goes through the motion and adds very little.

I don't know how many min. Clagett played his freshman year but he almost left because he wasn't happy with the way he was used.

The refs in the A-10 are terrible.God do I miss the good old days of Wellmer-O'Neil-Shaw-John Higgins-Thornle and Hillary. I'd even take Roy's buddy Tim Higgins. We never knew how good we had it. Those guys may not have given us a fair shake at times but they were at least competent.

David Nark might take them. Oh I forgot he can't drive that far west.

I consider Rich a friend,and yes it was time to go but SLU handled it terribly. It made the Alden fiasco look like a perfect ending. Biondi drug it on forever.

Grawer is in the hall of fame. I do agree I wish things were better between the 2. He is still very bitter.

Ekker got caught cheating by working with Latodd Johnson during the offseason. He was working on his freethrow shootin. He was turned in by an assistant soccer coach who was pissed at Ekkers roll as AD.I'm not trying to defend Ekker but it was another example of the NCAA beating up on the weak and doing little to the Kentucky's of the world who get caught buying players.

Everybody blames Ecker for almost killing Billiken Basketball. Ecker was terrible but he wasn't the reason we almost died. It was the administration. The school was bleeding money in those years,we had astronomical short term debt during a period of very high interest rates. The administration didn't know whether they wanted to be division 1-2 or 3. The athletic department consisted of about 5 people. They hired Ecker because he came cheap. Hell they even made him AD to save money. We came very close to becoming a division 3 program. Blame Ecker if you must but the real demons were Drummand and O'Connell. Fitzgerald fixed our finances and thank God Biondi came along.

I agree with the Legend. I think they are hilarious about 90% of the time. The other 10% is a little to sophmoric. Roy maybe you need to drink in the morning,might lighten you up to the point where you get along with Mike Smith.

Pau Jansen a deep bench warmer came into the Blackburn game and started hitting deep jumpers to pull out the game. He probably scored more points that game then he did the whole season.

It won't happen ,but assuming the board of trustees signs off on the arena on Sat. they should run the arena commercial at half time,Biondi should walk out to midcourt and say it's a done deal and announce the date.

In Rich's first couple of years when we were back at the Old Kiel crowds reguarly were down around 1200. You could have converstions with friends a couple of sections away.

Bernie on his morning radio show said the A10 should get rid of a couple of the bottom teams such as Duquesne. I agree.

I agree its probably not going to change and thats where i feel Brad may be at fault. I'm not suggesting that Brad allow JJ to get away with loafing at practice or crap like that, but if its a matter of shot selection or running the wrong play you sometimes have to look the other way. I watch JJ very closely when he's in the game,only in the UMAS.game did I feel like he didn't contribute. I am convinced we would have beaten Dayton had he played over Vashun. As Whitey once said to Rich Grawer don't ever dicipline a player to the extent that is cost you a ball game.
