  1. No, just that he said he'd trim his list further or commit "soon". His birthday is October 1 - maybe we know more by then.

  2. F..ck. Do you think we don't know this? Can we just f..king talk about Billiken basketball without some know it all feeling the need to remind us of what we already know. This is really starting to piss me off, someone is going to have to meet me in Salina KS

  4. I've seen this circulating for Football schools, and always found this interesting and cool. Well as it appears for Basketball only schools.. Most interactions generated by non-FBS main Athletics Dept official social media accounts (IG+TW+FB) in August 2020. How it works using social media

  5. The Bills could only play big one way last season: with Bell at the 5 and French at the 4. Hankton and Diarra combined for 75 minutes. With Linßen, they have 3 bigs. I doubt he plays more than 15 min/game, and some games, esp. when Ford wants to go small, he'll like play around 8-10 minutes. But he gives them huge flexibility, esp. if Bell or French get in foul trouble, which last year required Ford to play small. Linßen will really help in the 2021-22 season, when we lose (assuming things go as planned) French and Perkins. We expect Okoro to be our best big, but he's also rehabbing an injury. Linßen will have a year of A-10 play under his belt, will know the system, and will likely play around 20mpg. Will also give Ford the luxury of not needing to press a freshman big into action.

  6. Unfortunately it's very normal in today's landscape. What isn't normal is that he finished a bachelor's degree in three years, so instead of being a 5th year transfer, he gets to play two years as a grad. transfer. All it means is that he's a good student, or that he had a lot of credits coming in. Look, I'd much prefer guys come here for four years, but there are about 600 transfers/season. You're not a bad kid, or a problem kid, if you want to transfer. (see Bess, Javon). You're a bad kid of if you're a bad kid.

  7. Assuming this season plays out, I do not see a scenario in which our seniors allow one guy to mess with #TeamBlue's chemistry. Isabell actually was kind of a problem at times in his one season here, but he got his head right and the right time and Goodwin and French were sophomores. This roster is totally different. Isabell also had some reports of being a headcase earlier in his career. Linssen has none of that. If anything, Linssen is a chemistry play. He's exactly what we needed in the frontcourt, taking pressure off both French and Bell. He also bridges the transition from French to Okoro.

  8. Just looking at Instagram, he looks to be getting along swimmingly with the other guys. He transferred from Wilmington after his coach left. He’s already got his bachelors and is now working on a 2-year masters program. Doesn’t exactly seem like the type of kid who is gonna become a team chemistry problem.

  9. Good Lord. Linssen obviously had multiple options and decided he wanted to spend his last two seasons with Team Blue, despite never visiting campus, and knowing that he is likely coming off the bench in a supporting role both years. This is a player we should NOT want on our team? Give me a break

  10. Let’s stop acting like Perkins, potentially our best player, won’t start next season.

  11. Some pub from The Athletic today... https://theathletic.com/2024750/2020/08/27/mid-major-mailbag-beware-saint-louis-program-climbs-the-wccs-rise-and-more/ Could Saint Louis’ Javonte Perkins be one of the surprise stars of college basketball this year? Despite coming off the bench last year, he still averaged 15 points per game (and more than 18 in conference play). Yet many college basketball fans have probably never heard of him. — Andy T. Jordan Goodwin and Hasahn French get most of the attention for the Billikens, but Perkins was the Atlantic 10 Sixth Man of the Year and led the team in scoring during conference play. Things really seemed to click into place for him in the second half of the season, which shouldn’t be too surprising since he was a junior college transfer adjusting to Division I. He had six games of at least 24 points from Jan. 17 on and became the guy teammates looked for in big spots. He led SLU in made 3s. Travis Ford’s team looks absolutely loaded, with French and Goodwin back after averaging double-doubles, Gibson Jimerson returning from a broken foot and Yuri Collins and Terrence Hargrove Jr .ready to expand their roles. As such, Perkins’ star potential may be limited because there are so many talented players around him. But if Saint Louis has the kind of year I think it’s capable of having, people will know a lot more about him and the other Billikens.
