Zink
Nice Q&A with Coach Crews: http://www.coxhub.com/articles/summer-sitdown-series-saint-louis-jim-crews?utm_content=7373658&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter Touches on the freshmen, GG leadership, and AM avoiding the wall this season. Good find!Interesting that Crews says the team has relied on 'leadership by committee' over the past few years. On the board we often seemed to key in on Kwamain and then Dwayne and Jordair as the leaders when in reality they have all been pushing one another and leading, which in retrospect feels like a very accurate description. It will be interesting to see what happens with this group, as Grandy is obviously a confident and infectious personality who can motivate and push guys. But will others step up so that we see the same group-leadership dynamic? Miles has been pegged as leadership material; who else do we think can fill that void? slu72
Good read. JC sounds like a guy you'd like to have a few beers with.
Dwayne's_World
Although Grandy may not be the unanimous leader on the court, he will definitely be a significant and motivating force in the development of the young guys. I think the leader on the court may end up being Ash or Manning, but that's just pure speculation on my part

VeniceMenace
Biggest question mark with this team ... McBroom sits and our only backups at this position are freshmen...unless Ash plays the point...based on his Villanova days he seems primarily a 2... In 2008-09, Kwamain Mitchell started at the point as a freshman all season, and by the end of the season he was the team leader. This year Miles Reynolds and Marcus Bartley will be able to ease into the leadership role behind McBroom, who's pretty seasoned.
Tonka
It would be great if one of our freshman would have a Mike McCall freshman year.
