  1. Kim Anderson should be a cautionary tale for getting blinded by D-II success...
  2. Combination of lack of buzz, fan hangover from last year's disappointment and a terrible schedule. They're going to need to string some wins together and show a fun and exciting brand of basketball to get the fans back in the house.
  3. THIS IS GOLD...and clearly over the head of the editor.
  4. Out of reactions unfortunately as this was worthy of a like…
  5. If Ford gets axed, which I doubt will happen, the player turnover would be brutal and we’d be subjecting ourselves to a couple years of bad basketball…that said we’re not going to be all that good next year anyway. I’d be fine with that if I knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a good coach but I’m not convinced that’s the case as I don’t have confidence in May.
  6. I’ve said this as well…he’s not cold blooded.
  7. It’s over. What in our DNA would suggest otherwise? And I’m generally positive.
  8. Yuri is embarrassing himself…trying to do way to much.
  9. Coaches should have a pulse on their teams psyche, when to push, when to give them room. This is a veteran team, one that I believe understands what is at stake this year, what their roles are and I'm confident they are all VERY aware of what they didn't do at Auburn. Travis didn't say anything the players didn't know and I'm sure that there have been many tough conversations in the locker room thus far this year. Him giving a nudge publicly is just a tactic he believes will serve as a kick in the pants...he didn't burn anything down and didn't personally attack anyone. These aren't 5th graders...they can handle it and should welcome the challenge.
  10. They weren’t very outgoing for sure…was geared up in SLU garb and traveling with my 11-year old son, assumed we may get some friendly banter but wasn’t the case. That said, none were a$$ hats either.
  11. Couple observations. I was there, really cool arena...reminded me a bit of Houston. Not a full compliment of students yesterday, they filled the bleachers with standing room ticket holders but the environment really only got "hostile" a few times. All in all I felt the team was able to respond and bounce back each time if felt like it could slip away...other than the 1 minute stretch that flipped the script. We lost this game at the free throw line, end of story. Pickett and Thatch going 0-2 late really killed us. They make those (even 2-4) and the game script plays out differently and we could have afforded a mini-run against us. Hard to argue with Gibson's shooting but he had two chances in the last minute, one that would have tied it and another that would have gotten it back to 64-63..wish he was a little more cold-blooded.
  12. I have tickets 6 available for tomorrow ... DM me if interested.
  13. Self could likely bring down other blue bloods and the NCAA if he wanted...he knows where bodies are buried
  14. I'm all over the Bills -10.5 1H Think our defense will come out on point and lock them down early!
  15. This a message board. It’s designed for exactly that...this thread is example A.
  16. If the team is chartering they should have plenty of options at private FBO's nearer Philly...
  17. Think they got a little careless (cost me the 1st Half -7.5). Going to need better effort from Has and Gibson Thursday ...both a little off tonight but still found ways to contribute. That said the sheer depth of this team lends itself to someone always stepping up when we need it.
  18. They need to strike a balance. With such a glut of veteran leadership we aren’t in a position to have to battle test ourselves repeatedly in OOC. Playing time (like Hargrove got last year against Maryville) is vital to the development of freshman and role players. Adding one more top 40 opponent would be ideal to go with the existing schedule IMO.
  19. The Disney bundle only inludes the base Hulu package...not Hulu Plus Live
  20. No dog in this fight and I'm not going to tell anyone they can't have and voice an opinion but you have to give her some respect for leaving STL, moving to Bristol to get experience while developing national relationships and positioning herself for career opportunities. She comes back to put that experience to work in her hometown while rounding out her skill set wearing multiple hats at the station. Seems like a pretty good career path if you want to me in sports media. As for her on-air personality, you can't please everyone and like most jobs, you learn and hone your craft each day...lord knows there are people who, rightfully, think I'm no good at what I do. I don't tune in to 101.1 to listen to her so not sure why I felt compelled to weigh in here...no offense Slowry...guess I just have respect for people who are willing to work their way up...as many in the media do. I feel better know.
