davidnark
...Brad held those scholarships this fall so that we would have enough going into the spring and next fall.
billiken_roy
let's see if by the start of the second semester we still have open scholarships. there are more transfer winds blowing than we have heard in a long long time. there might be more to what is going on then we know. thetorch
Even if we get a transfer or two our cupboard in the paint is bare for next year. I hope Meyer can muscle up some more in this coming offseason so he can play center.
billiken_roy
not if the likes of a sky fraizer transfers in and the juco inside player signs. that would be two ready players ready to step in immediately.
TheRaginCajun
Is that we are to expect now for recruits at the post position, bringing in MVC rejects?
SLUDrew
Do we really want a guy who averaged about 2 points per game in the Valley and by all indications was a real head case? This sounds a lot like Walt Jocketty trying to convince us that Braden Looper is a starter. Who are we kidding?
thetorch
The head case is Hinson. He's an egomaniac. If Blake wasn't so good he wouldn't have lasted through his freshman season. That said I've heard nothing about Frazier transferring in anywhere much less SLU. He was gonna fisish up his degree at Mo St and move on with his life. Majerus Magic
Sky isn't a headcase, he didn't get along with Hinson and seriously.....who can blame him? I would definetly be thrilled to have Sky for next year, I think he could really contribute......at least more than Bryce.
bluecrewprez
I'm sorry HD didn't live up to all that hype he had coming into this season. I still wish him the best of luck! I wonder if this is any reason why he didn't play at UNC when they put in the walk-ons/freshmen...
RealisticBilliken
Anyone know the real story as to why HD got kicked off?? I'm assuming grades but can anyone confirm that?
TheRaginCajun
If you had been following along today, it had already been leaked on this site. I had heard from those connected to the program that this was a possibility. They said that Horace may be gone due to grades and Obi may be asked to leave the team due in part to bad grades and in part his attitude. Horace from all accounts worked hard at practice and just struggled in the classroom. I heard nothing negative concerning his character. Don't look beyond the report on that one. As far as Obi, there is more beyond just the grades.
