bauman
Mississippi clobbered as was E. Ill. Ken St beats Lamar by 19 and Cinn. barely beats Murray St. Could be tough yr. for Bearcats in Big East w/o Huggy. Hawaii beats Mich St. by 22. Marq. 9 behind Nobody U. with about 10 minutes to go and DePaul lost by 15 to Bradley. Maybe the schools who thought they were too good for CUSA should have stayed. (except Louisville)
tseugnekillib
yes, I agree, some scores are indeed interesting, but let's win a few ourselves before we start talking smack!
kshoe
They will always have a warm part of my heart for their win over the local MU a few years ago.
gister
They hung on to beat Marquette at Marquette.
bauman
No smack intended. An update to my orig. post---UNC only beat Gardner-Webb by 3, I think 83-80, after being tied 46-46 at half. I assume it was at UNC. Looks like their young players may need some time to adjust to college ball.
slu72
80-30 something is what I saw on ESPN ribbon last night. Someone's either awful good or someone's awful bad.
slu72
Went over to Cinn enquirer site. E Ill had a horrific shooting night, like 18% 8-49. Don't want to take anything away from X's D, but that's pretty poor shooting.
billikenmetz
The Bradley Political Correct Wimps (Braves) are a solid team this year with the starting 5 all back and the deepest bench that Jim Les has had to work with. Perhaps BU will not need the "Bracket Buster" game to keep their post-MVC tourney dreams alive...

billiken_roy
when i saw the hawaii score vs mich state, i cringed. julian sensley went nuts vs a final four team. who on the billikens gets to guard sensley? talk about getting tested out of the chute, next saturday will tell us a lot. slu72
I think anyone who had us beating Hawaii need therapy. This would be a big big upset. The road, a one gamer to Hawaii, I don't get that. Guess its payback for them being here. It's the logistics of the thing I don't get. Couldn't we have got a game with UW on the way out? Anyways, Sensely was a top 10 as I recall, who stops him? An injury.
cheeseman
72 - please explain why you would want to schedule UW also - we do not need to play two tough long distance road games - that makes no sense. Lets just meet our responsibility and get back to a more sane part of our schedule.
slu72
Ok, maybe not UW. St. Mary's, Pepperdine, Oregon St. someone to pick up a little extra $$ to cover expenses. Just a thought.
