Cowboy II
-i don't think I have heard the term 'linear' used to describe tv until this article -the A10 found a network to broadcast the Pillow Fight, that's either incredible or incredibly stupid on someone's part -40% increase in rights fees, we can't compare this to BIG, Big 12 or SEC since they are adding teams and have football and BEast contract is yet to come, do we know what each school gets a year from the rights deal? I found an article from 2012 that had A10 schools getting $357,000 per year, gosh I hope that has increased by a lot

Something linear is like a line. The adjective usually refers to something that follows an expected order or sequence — like railroad tracks or even the progression of a disease. juniorbill76
Linear TV refers to traditional broadcast, cable or satellite, as opposed to on demand.

I don’t think so, I think it was just time for the contract to be renewed. I would love to know the exact dollar amount each school gets, but they didn’t say that. Still, it’s good news that this is resolved and things are good for the near future. BrettJollyComedyHour likes this
