In some fairness, some of her resources have also been much better than other past SLU WBB coaches too. It's a little bit apples to oranges. But she has always been a very good coach. Can she do it at the higher and highest levels has been the past question for her. Stone has done a nice job getting SLU to be a consistent WNIT team. Being a consistent WNIT team of course was a reason she was let go at Power 5 school that had more resources than SLU. She has four top 4 league finishes in the past 6 seasons, which is good. If she keeps it up and consistently has the team competing near the top of the A10 / at an NIT level, I have no doubt that eventually they’ll win an A10 tournament. courtside Posted March 16, 2021 Share Posted March 16, 2021 For those mentioning DePaul, this is the first year after 17 straight years, they will miss the NCAA's. Late season collapse for them put them on the wrong side of the bubble. Sonya Morris, from IWA in St. Louis, has been a nice player there.
