Recruits at the game

C.J. Rivers, Darius Austin, Jordan Martin, and Keenan Minor were a few of the recruits at the win over UW.

At least Austin and Martin have offers.

Austin tweeted that the game was live. A translation for the less hip on the board might be pleasant, exciting or otherwise enjoyable.

loe and herriman were with what looked like a recruit after the game at the bars. white guy, looked like a small forward.

justin tatum was there with his son, who is 6'3" in the 8th grade. he's supposed to be bigtime. oh, he was sitting right behing the UW bench - not a good sign.

Oh man, Tatum is going to be the real deal. He could end up being a top 25 kid for his class.

that's what i keep hearing. heard someone say he's better than beal was as an 8th grader.

now might be the time to bring on justin tatum as an assistant.

Yeah, he's far ahead of where Beal was at that age, but Beal grew a lot when he got to high school. Tatum could end up being 6'5 or so. I would be all for bringing in his Dad if that helped us land him. I also think Justin is a good coach and could be a good college assistant.

I've seen Tatum play and he's dominant at that age. I'm not sure what type of relationship his dad has maintained with the school but he will be a high major player, if not a five star type.

According to someone close to the family the Mom basically runs the show. That's part of why he probably won't play for his Dad at Soldan.

given where he was seated, i don't think his relationship with the school is as strong as his relationship with his former coach. understandable given that tatum didn't even finish as slu. where is the kid going to high school? and if he's 6'3 already, with a 6'7 day, i would think he still has a lot to grow

even if mom didn't run the show, i would hope tatum learned enough at cbc and slu to know not to send his son to soldan

Tatum is, in all likelihood, headed to Chaminade.

Watch out for Courtney Ramey, rumored to be going to Webster in a couple years.

DeSmet and CBC are still in the running.

3Bill, of course Soldan isn't the academic institution of a Chaminade, DeSmet, etc. At the same time its not hard to get a kid eligible and that would allow him to play for Justin.

Soldan and CBC aren't all that different academically.

You're right, and honestly I don't find stuff like that all that important for an athlete. As long as they aren't going to a complete ###### hole, they should be fine.

There's a lot of talent in St. Louis right now, success by the bills has a chance to help change our fortunes in local recruiting. And it seems the coaching staff has added emphasis to local recruits.

Indeed. We're really locking in on the local class of '14. 2 tourney trips in a row could help us land a few local studs.
