  1. You’re just making stuff up. When was the last time any pga champ was at -3?? Not once in last 20 years dumbest post in a while
  2. This is a joke. I had been worried for a while that evidence would come out to suggest non-consensual aspects of the actual sexual activity. However, the lawyer for 1 (but not the other 2 "victims" since they didn't even want to pursue anything) comes out and publicly acknowledges that this whole thing boils down to photos. So these dumb girls decide it is ok to get involved in a gangbang, but god forbid someone takes a photo, and then all hell breaks loose, including essentially the expulsion of all guys involved and not just the one who took the pic. Imagine if the roles were reversed and one of the girls took a pic. Any guy complaining would be laughed out of the Title 9 office if he complained. SLU is going to get sued. And i hope this girl realizes how unjust this punishment was. Lawyers like Ms. Wessling put ideas in these girls heads that they are all victims. Hopefully she counseled them on maybe not engaging in gangbangs again.
  3. You are way off. Goodwin was identified but basically less involved in the activity than the others. No one had a gripe with him. But he was there for part of it. no one did anything worthy of these consequences but he did even less
  4. I’m not selling anything buddy. Just find it a bit ludicrus for a bunch of people whose “inside information” comes from Adonis henriguez’s twitter feed to be speculating about the worth ethic and ability of one person in the legal department, who I don’t know myself. I basically come to this board for entertainment to read the latest gossip about the bills. Like my wife reading people magazine. I find that very few, if any, people on this board have a clue. Instead you all work yourself up all day long wondering what might be happening and resorting to crazy speculation.
  5. Rereading my prior message it see it was not too clear. my point is only that the venom toward one lawyer who no one in this board knows is kind of ridiculous. Yes the messsage was “misplaced” as someone pointed out but I’m not going to start a new thread to give this more attention than it deserves. yes, pregnant women have to make sure things are in place such that jobs get done while they are out. But who the hell here really knows what’s going on in the title 9 divions within slus legal department? To call her out individually is wrong. but feel free to blame the institution in general. I agree. Slu seems to suck at basically everything right now
  6. I've also heard through the legal community is that she was an honest and unbiased prosecutor. So the anger toward her is displaced. Particularly since she apparently just had a baby in mid-November. And if she was and is out (not sure if she's still out but probably) on maternity leave, then she shouldn't be personally blamed for this mess. My guess is that her department is understaffed and underpaid and, with her gone, things might not be getting done as timely as they should. Blame the administration, not someone who's got an 8 week old baby and would have been 9 months pregnant when this all blew up.
  7. Slu's sexual assault policy is very black and white. Essentially any contact with someone who has consumed alcohol is assault. Regardless of whether there is a criminal case, these guys could be toast under the school's policy
  8. For those who have Showtime, I highly recommend you watch the new documentary about the Baylor basketball program and the murder of Patrick Denehey. Dave Bliss is about as sleazy as they come, and there are points in the film when you are wondering whether he is crazy or just plain evil. Sad thing is he has been coaching for years despite what happened with that situation (although he just got fired after the film was aired), yet the DOB whistleblower could never find a job in basketball after this happened. Coach K, Boeheim, and Sampson all interviewed and said they wouldn't hire the whistleblower. Takeaway from the film ... most of these coaches cheat and it gets pretty ugly.
  9. He did purchase a home in St. Louis. It is in Frontenac, I believe.
  10. That's the understatement of the year. This guy is on a completely different level from Baniak. This is the best verbal we've had since Larry Hughes. And no big man since Ed Macauley even comes close. He'll be a McD's all american.
  11. Ok so he has not been hired by nc state yet
  12. Where is everyone getting this news that Pierre is off to nc state?. All I've seen is a report that he is a candidate for a position over there. And that report was from before Travis ford was announced as our hc
  13. My initial reaction to this hire was disappointment. However, the more I read about ford the more I think this could be a great hire. He is a very good recruiter with a better track record on that front than anyone we have had in a long time. He's going to bring in some talent. And he has some solid assistants. Hopefully they all come along. One of them, bill grier, was an assistant with Leon rice at gonzaga. For those who wanted rice, we now should have that gonzaga pedigree. And Grier has head coaching experience. I'd like him to add a local guy who knows the St. Louis scene. Ideally Erwin claggett. This past season was brutal for ford but he was dealing with several players having injuries. His resume before that was pretty impressive. He's been to the tourney almost as many times as our school has in its history. Everyone is wining that he only won one game but he still got there which is more than most of our past coaches did. Give him a chance
  14. People at Utah said the same thing about majerus. I take that with a grain of salt. The guy wins. I also don't trust anything said by uk alums about their coaches. Lots of misinformation
  15. I would like them to look at billy Gillespie. Was hottest coach in the country at one point. Seems to have straightened things out and is back to coaching at a juco. Reminds me of majerus in some ways.
  16. I don't think baniak was a business major. He was premed and may have dropped out of premed but I think his degree was psychology. I had several classes with him. While school may not have hindered his bball career I do wonder if basketball kept him out of premed.
  17. You're right. There r only 3 possibilities to fill the two spots. Of course if there were others we would surely already know given that we are an all knowing message board. And again you still don't know all the details about why drew is not returning. My guess is that none of us will ever hear the whole story
  18. This is all speculation and its pretty silly. You have no clue why drew was let go. You have no clue what the interest in onwuasor is like or what drew leaving will do to our recruiting of him. Ridiculous
  19. Again, jumping to worst case scenario conclusion without knowing all details. We don't know why this happened yet
  20. Lets not jump off the depend yet. No one on here has any clue what went down. Nor do I. But to jump to all these conclusions is pointless
  21. He's scum because he was an alcoholic and as a result he must be a cheater? Wow. U must make a great father with your holier than thou bs. Eustachy may be one of the top 5 coaches in all of college but we should conclude he's a cheater because he drank too much. Good logic
  22. I read that knight wants a school that has his major - kinesiology - which I don't believe slu has. That's a problem
  23. If this guy chooses Miami Ohio over slu, then he's not the kind of player we want. That suggests to me he does not want to sit behind Jett and McCall for a year and he fails to appreciate the benefit he could get from doing so. Otherwise I have no clue how you choose to play at a school that has been that bad for the last few years and in such a bad conference
  24. I like this lancona kid. He's originally from indiana which could help. Was interested in Purdue it looks like. Would help if he has family still around here since he's way out in California
  25. You don't seem to understand recruiting. Coaches always tell kids who they want that they only have a certain amount of time to commit. Coaches have to do that so they can move on to the next option. I have no clue if this situation is hurting us on the recruiting front. But I do know there is a lot of ammo out there for negative recruiting. And it could all be easily avoided. Does the president at other universities have to be in the country to when a basketball coach's hiring is announced?
