BACKHANDtheRICAN
Because I'm getting married in Cincy next summer, it helps even more if we can know well in advance if we can double up a planning weekend with a baskebtall weekend. RF1
Have the rest of the A-10 teams released their conference porttion of the schedule? If not, it must be an A-10 decision and not a SLU one. If so, we could surely figure out our schedule just by looking at the ones that are already released. There are a few other A-10 schools that have not released their schedules yet as they are still looking for games. URI is one such team and it is looking for 1-2 more games. Known URI schedule thus far @Pitt* @Toledo* vs Charleston* vs Illinois-Chicago* @Providence Brown Davidson Drexel @Northeastern @Quinnipiac New Hampshire Boston College @Florida The * games are part of the CVC Tournament with the first game being played at Pittsbugh and the remaining 3 games at Toledo. This tournament is exempt and will only count as one game toward the maxiumum 29. Difficulty in scheduling (particularly home games) is something that all A-10 teams face except possibly Xavier and Temple. Don't expect a new arena or anything else to change that in the short term. It seems only a long period of sustained success such as Temple and Xavier have had can change things when it comes to scheduling.
Scoop
Absolutely, correct. As of 9 days ago, we have one more date to fill and haven't been able to find anyone willing to come to us. As time goes on, my concern is, that we schedule another D-2 team just to fill the date for the season ticket holders. I hope not. Those D-2 games suck. GOSLU68
It is pretty interesting to watch. This year has not been a banner year for the detectives as false leads of Murray St. and Villanova (any others?) led the board astray for pretty long periods of time... Unless there is a formula for pricing: here is my take: They print $25 on our tickets. We do not know how many exhibition, OOC, or total tickets most seasons as every year even the home and home in conference can be changed by the league. It is simply a crapshoot. Do you want tickets? Then buy them. We will let you know when to show up. The CBI tournament was a fine example to a season that never ended. But there is no per game math when they don't know how many games they are having and yes we did pay extra for CBI but who cares? Were we shortchanged on basketball excitement? Not one bit. This is so much better than the gang that couldn't shoot straight that RM inherited. Let's just hope we have as many bigs as we need so Willie doesn't have to ask to be taken out or Cody Ellis is too tired to lift his arms for a jump shot. Those kids played until they were ragged last year. Okay who had 23 wins for their prediction pre-season, last year?
