Thanks to booster T Boone Pickens, they were prepared to pay Self a $6 million bonus and $4 million per year. Add to the fact that Self went to Okie State as did his wife and that still wasn't enough of a draw. Look at it this way. If Self was the Mizzou coach and got that offer from Okie State, he jumps at it. That's the difference between Missouri and Kansas. Let's say Anderson is the coach of Kansas. Even though he is from there, Alabama doesn't even put him on their list because they know they have no shot.What is so hard to understand about this? "kansas doesn't have to worry about their coach leaving" "yes they do, happened last year" "oklahoma state is better than mizzou(?!)" What does it prove? Why would I get season tickets to a program I did not like? It kills you that I'm a Billiken fan. And as far as the "unwritten rule" goes, it has happened to me twice(once by your buddy Ace and another one of your cohorts last year). In this instance I didn't think I was sharing anything that was all that private or secretive. I was just trying to prove to others on the board that we have indeed talked about meeting up at a game before and it makes you look pretty silly if you're meeting up at games with alleged "Billiken haters."
