satrap
My whole family was cheering at the end. Awesome, even though it's only a q-final.
Bay Area Billiken
SLU 74 UMass 71 in OT. Keep up the good work, SLU. Two more to go and we will be dancing!
GOPBilliken
Scary to think that a UMASS team at probably 20% almost beat a SLU team at full-strength. Regardless of this being an upset, I saw a guy throw up into a bucket on the UMASS sideline. Bring on the Hawks.
Tonka
Oh give me a break. I don't doubt some of these guys were sick and some still were. The term "flu" actually gets thrown around to easily. Sure they caught a bug that caught most of us this winter. That team played better than 20%. Adrenaline kicks in and unless you are next to your death bed, you can play at more than 20% and that is assuming even ALL of them were ill during the game. TheA_Bomb
I agree they have been able to rest up get medicated all in preparation for this game. SLU played yesterday in a tough matchup. Those guys were hustling and didn't look sick even if they were they were hot from 3.

3star_recruit
In Freeman's defense, he looked like he was ready to hurl from the opening tip. I agree with the announcers --- really sucks that a 1st teamer couldn't contribute like he's capable of.
Bay Area Billiken
Whatever it takes, whatever it takes. For the second day, even though I am a big Cardinal fan, I paraphrase the late Jack Brickhouse: I don't care how it happens, as long as SLU wins! Bay Area Billiken
Absolutely true. While UMass was resting last night, SLU was fighting for its basketball life against Duquesne.
