  1. Notice the last four years. All during the height of the Greatest Show on Turf.
  2. But by the time they arrived the hype began to fizzle. 1993-early 1995 was when it was the talk of the town.
  3. One thing to remember about Spoonball is that it was during a period in which there was no NFL in town yet. Yes the Blues exist, but the certain demo the Bills are trying to attract doesn't care about hockey.
  4. I think it's time to close this thread. It's not happening. Ever. SLU's close to becoming a behemoth in the A10.
  5. https://s-abcnews-com.cdn.ampproject.org/i/s/s.abcnews.com/images/Sports/WireAP_81b0915a9e1846d68e3e9c25fe8cca3e_16x9_992.jpg “Sheep ! Fascists !” -Big Bill Fan
  6. And the thing is, it’s from fans of teams who have the same number of NCAA appearances or less as we do in the last decade !
  7. Browsing the Big East forums, I'd rather SLU not be in the conference now. Bunch of snobs.
  8. And if the Blues go on another deep run in the playoffs, they’ll come crawling back. They always do. This is theatre. Stupid theatre.
  9. Yeah, unless you're TheOne, I'm not going to take anyone else seriously.
  10. Are we really debating whether or not a hypothetical invitation to the Big East would be good for the athletic dept ? I hate small time thinking.
  11. There's just no pleasing some Billikens fans. Good grief.
  12. Or maybe they know something we don't.
  13. JC. I thought I was the bigger Eeyore here.
  14. At some point, for once, a TF coached team will stop underachieving. I don’t think that will change this year. NIT bound with a first round loss.
  15. Creighton guy knows his program wouldn’t be able to outspend SLU for recruits in the Midwestern market, so it’s understandable.
  16. Stu durando can't help himself sometimes. And if this ends up being a big ol nothing, then that will tell us that SLU is small time.
  17. This is where I'm at too. I'm warming up to the reality of being in the A10 long term. To those who want Gonzaga in the Big East, careful what you wish for. They could be the George Mason of the conference.
  18. ...and the NFL doesn't make a city major. Green Bay, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, KC, etc aren't major.
  19. I hate the NFL as much as them, but I know they are the lesser of the evils.
  20. It will only help recruiting since it's in the A10 region.
  21. 5-1 Dodgers I haven't trusted Wainwright in a big game since 2009.
