Another "eye test" variable that I think will help get more votes as well as off the bubble is if Bess continues to make a name for himself as a legit candidate for the next level. As he starts getting more national attention, so will SLU.

For those that have been to the games, how do we look in shootarounds in warmups or practice? I wonder how much the wear and tear of going extra hard on defense effects our accuracy or if we just aren't good shooters. Considering our poor offensive starts to games I'm assuming it's the latter but haven't seen in person.

I have a question for Wiz. Is LaSalle pulling off upsets in the A10 positive, negative, or net neutral for the overall conference grade/strength?

This method is used frequently in baseball and golf for the yips. It can work but would take commitment and can look weird(imagine seeing our players on the bench frequently tapping their face). At that point we'd stick out just as much as shooting free throws underhanded. Visualization, breathing techniques, and a consistent routine at the free throw line are likely the most realistic simple fixes that can yield positive results outside of shooting hundreds of free throws a day.

The latter. A-10 brings the SOS down drastically. A-10 has 8 teams over 150 RPI, including 6 in the 200s. The best is Fordham at 84, worst is LaSalle at 274. Slu is currently 93. The coaches do a great job of getting quality opponents on the schedule but almost every non-conference game would probably have to be top 50 opponent to offset that much.

FWIW, strength of schedule is only good for the fact that the team gets better by playing better competition. A-10 is a one bid league in baseball. SLU would have to basically win out to have a chance at getting an at-large bid.
