Good point, he may well have been there primarily for Kyky. There was a photo of Ford talking with Ware after the game and SLU has been listed in a couple places as showing interest in him.

How many ADs among 350 D1 basketball programs have a sweet 16 during their tenure? I assume this means the AD at Loyola is far better of an AD than Chris May? By that same logic the Loyola AD was terrible up until this week?

He was listed at 266 when we got him & his official bio now says 250...perhaps he’s lost more...still, he’s probably as big as anyone on the team, although Welmer is the tallest. Averages of 6 points, 4 rebounds in 17 minutes playing time in his sophomore year at South Florida. On a HORRIBLE team. He should at least be a solid player & help make other teams pay when they attempt to double-team French or Gordon. Ideal scenario is if we can use Welmer and/or Pearson to draw defenders away from the basket. That would give the bigs more room to operate.
