  1. win, win, win.....
  2. SB Nation's early A10 power rankings have us at 7th: http://www.sbnation.com/college-basketball/2014/7/3/5834326/atlantic-10-basketball-preview-2015-2014
  3. +1 You used Birdman in an argument as a plus? And tried to say Dwyane Wade can still lead a team? Amazing stupidity.
  4. Not sure if serious....
  5. I guess we must be watching different games. Mix provides something that very few Americans can do at this point: Creativity and understanding of the game. He creates chances and always ends up in a spot to finish. He will be a huge sub for us this WC as he's been a different maker for us off the bench in the past. Russia, Azerbaijan, anyone?
  6. Kwamain heaved his jumpers from his ear. This kid pushes from his chest like a little kid. You have to think that his mechanics would have to get fixed when he gets to college. Shots would get blocked so often.
  7. I think the last three tournaments have shown exactly what the US is. A top 10-20 team, but still a ways to go until they are a top 3-10 team. We have a great core of young guys that are getting huge time with the senior members- Dempsey, Bradley, etc. Guys who have "been there"
  8. With that said, Klinsmann consistently played him at LM
  9. These two play two completely different positions in this system. If anyone got chosen over LD, it's billiken Brad Davis. Donovan hasn't scored a goal (club or intl) since October 2013.FWIW, Klinsi also left legend Oliver Kahn off of Germany's roster in 06, and made the semis.
  10. Strauss follows basketball. A lot of A10 basketball even. He went to VCU. The fact that he's a troll that is iffy on factual evidence is the problem.
  11. Yeah, never let the truth get in the way of good snarkiness
  12. Our next cycle is actually looking better than expected. Losing (maybe) Howard, Dempsey, Beasley, and Donovan, but we'll have an older and improved back line, along with improved (and hopefully playing at higher levels than any American ever) Johansson, Boyd, Agudelo, and Green. And maybe Zelalem. The future looks bright.
  13. If I'm not mistaken, youth teams have the same eligibility rules as first teams. So no.
  14. I have a new era billiken. One is a black with blue bill, and the SLU logo. My friend has a blue billiken new era hat with the billiken logo on the front. They're there. Try lids.com
  15. I'd really like to see him displace Beasley at LB, especially if Klinsi isn't willing to play Fabio back there.
  16. Many cities are choosing USL Pro over NASL because the league has a partnership with MLS.
  17. What non-BCSers do you think should be on there? And who should they replace?
  18. "Grown up"... Don't confuse age with knowledge. I'm not sure where you're getting this "smoke and mirrors" thing. I don't think you're understanding that I'm not comparing the two directly. Just saying that height, or lack thereof, isn't something that decides whether a player is successful or not. When you're wrong, always pull the age card. You'll always be correct if you're older, right? You shouldn't always argue with your fellow MBMs. It will get you a lot farther.
  19. Yeah, they shoved this down our throats at preseason NCAA compliance meetings. "Don't smoke or it will ruin your life"
  20. Hey, THINK A LITTLE BIT. I used Kwamain as a comparison because you were saying AM's height was a disadvantage (which it is). I simply used KM as a "it can be done" situation. Are you that dense? And my lord, you're acting like McBroom is the second coming of freaking Dwayne Polk. Give him some credit. Whatever you think of the guy off the court, he can score, and should improve coming into this year.
  21. Yeah, they did the same thing with 5'9" Kwamain. What is your beef with AM? He's going to have to contribute a lot if we're going to be any good this year...
  22. And have 6'6 and 6'8 at PF and C?
  23. Semi-serious question: did you watch any games last year?
  24. When people talk about Top 150 lists, they mean Scout, Rivals, and ESPN. They aren't talking about JoeSchmoeSportsBlog like you're referencing. I get that Rivals once ranked him, but that's not what you're referencing.
  25. Yeah you're right. Thanks. I knew I recognized this, just didn't remember when.
