There is a reason for all the angst. We were horrible without Yuri in our game against Northern Iowa.

I think it is kind of crazy how offended many on this board get that 1-2 people marked a post as a troll. A post that spread an unsubstantiated rumor that our star point guard would be transferring when he isn't even in the transfer portal. I get it that he is just reporting what he read on the other message board. But to me, spreading that rumor is the definition of a troll post.

If he isn't drafted, he'll be at SLU next year. 100%

I liked Williams. The real problem in my mind was that he was a 3 point specialist that shot 25% from 3 for us. He has proven he can shoot better than that at his previous schools, so I assume he will land somewhere if he is eligible to be a Grad transfer.

I really liked Markhi. He has shown he is very athletic, but I think he struggled defensively and is too turnover prone to break into the regular rotation any time soon at SLU, especially if Javonte returns. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and assume he will be able to contribute successfully somewhere at the D1 level. I will be rooting for him wherever he lands!

It is crazy to me that he didn't play down 3 with 12 seconds left or down 3 with 4.4 seconds left... I say put in all your 3 point shooters... Jimmerson was in (but of course they covered him)... (I know TJ and Nesbitt can shoot too) but put in Williams or put in Lorrentson... We needed more options to inbound the ball too imo. Gibson was covered so we were forced to throw a bad inbounds pass to a heavily guarded TJ. ***Take everything I say with a grain of salt. I am no basketball expert or coach....

I worry that casual fans (or fans without social media) may not have heard about the time change and miss the game...

Seems too optimistic. I agree we have a talented experienced point guard (but I am not excited about our back-up options at PG). I hope we are stacked with shooters, but based on the 3 point percentage from both exhibition games, I'm skeptical. We have 2 quality bigs but they are prone to foul trouble. I think it will be very difficult to get to 22 wins this year... I sure hope I am wrong...
