  1. We haven't finalized a tourney yet. I bet we will know mid-June.
  2. Yep. That's where they are headed for the 4 year trip (99% sure). Should make for good team building.
  3. Yes. Pissed that we got our a$$e$ beat. That we were not winners. Leaders will be made this summer especially in Roby. I think we trimmed a little fat in that Lancona was lazy and McBroom played for himself and not the team.
  4. Rumor on the streets is that all Freshman are going to stay. Also, most of them have been back in the gym hitting it pretty hard. The core group is pissed. Staff is continuing to recruit. They have a recruit from out east coming in this weekend.
  5. SLU has already shown interest. CC was at the Vianney-SLUH game to watch the young stud. He brought his daughter and stayed the entire game. Representation is there - don't worry.
  6. I did the same but parlaying the over on the SLU game.
  7. I completely agree with this. The 3 D has been painful. TO's as well but expected from a young team so I'm not too surprised. This should be the first to trend up. I wonder if the speed of the game makes the D sag because they aren't quick enough to react on help D and some man-to-man guard D. Hopefully this corrects itself more during conference play when the teams will be playing with greater intensity and purpose. My other concerns are our inability to get to the basket. The slashing is at a minimal level. I think it makes guarding us so much easier and kills our options to open up the 3 ball this is resorting to passing the ball around the perimeter excessively. Also the ball screens are weak.
  8. I would agree with this. Passing with purpose and using the movements to set up the offensive scheme. I feel like we are lacking this sense of direction. I also agree with whoever commented about the ball screens. They seem weak and almost like they are just going through the motions. The defensive prowess of the Majerus man-to-man scheme is missed. I know the young guys struggle to pick up this system which shows early on but you really miss it when it's gone. I will be curious to see how Crews' system works out long term. It's hard to watch crisp well executed basketball disappear in a matter of 7 months. Shows the need for balance in the classes. These are some very talented kids and I am really looking forward to watching them grow. As they mature and mold they will be special just like our recent graduates.
  9. SorryI should clarify that I was juxtaposing an OutKast lyric to your Goodfellas quote (which I appreciated) to see who would pick up on it, for fun. While I'm on here: this is a no-win for SLU. Kick them off - you're an intolerant institution and will be marked as a racist administration. You let them stay: nothing good happens except you don't further damage your name at your own expense and the students' expense. Don't kid yourself that this isn't costing SLU a few dimesso the best you can do is zero which is better than negative. I think the mentality that protesters can go wherever they want and be disruptive is pretty disrespectful (ie- QuikTrip, SLU, WalMart, etc). It's hard to gain respect when you are being disrespectful to uninvolved, private parties. That said...they can protest on public ground until they pass out. Now, I don't know if SLU can setup a protesters camp away from the clock tower to be less disruptive to the students. Maybe set them up in a grassy area as a compromise. Not sure if that would work. It is pretty amazing that they will let the protesters who are not students habitate on campus;however, when I was a student you could get penalized pretty severely for "co-habitation"
  10. Dickey's the only Billikens to record a triple-double every half played as a Billiken. He also recorded a dunk in every game and lived in an apartment with the Women's Tennis Team. Legend!
  11. I was there, too. SLUBALLS pretty much summed it up. I feel we were in control the first half with much of the possession coming out of the backfield. Starr played very well. Tyler had a nice header off the corner. The second half seemed as if we played a prevent-style defense playing not to lose. The offensive scheme was hampered since we played back most of the second half. Kristo was marked up as always but also was forced to play more D than usual. Kristo and Hildago had a nice run in the last third of the second half. Hildago was hammered and a PK most likely should have been awarded. The shot differential was the most noticeable stat to me after the game as SLUBALLS stated.
  12. By the way, they did NOT force Carter out. It was one-sided and we were left holding the bag.
  13. What I am telling you is there is more to the story than he didn't like the way his ankle injury was handled. My point is that you hear one side of the story. You would be an idiot to believe the only story is the told story by one side. I have told you why with damn near spelling it out for you. Billikan did the same. I can back his story too. He expected to be the king and was a prima donna. He had outside guidance that was unproductive. I don't give a shït if you believe me or not but that's part of the other untold side. If you expect me to quote sources then
  14. Reasons posted on here? What was reported by those who were at liberty to speak? You realize the reasons you read here are not all encompassing and not always correct. Carter expected things to be his way. He was not one to listen to coaches and had outside influences 'guiding/coaching' him along the way. There are publicly stated reasons and then there are THE reasons why things don't work out. It's not like the staff can publicly come out and discuss why it didn't work. They wish them the best of luck and move on while keeping their mouth shut. You know this.
  15. You might be surprised at how soon a leader is named...
  16. Picture refresh rate is choppy here. Zebras have inhaled the whistles.
  17. I'll be anxious to see how the conference handles this situation. Obviously this will set a precedent for all future occasions like this. TTU should handle #1 fan appropriately. Looks like this guy is a dipśhit by all the reported accounts but Smart should have kept his cool. Fans yell hit all game. Fans yell at players, coaches, refs, and other fans (see 05 and the Sasquatch from the other team's fans flicking him off). Now this raises a more important question: how show Bo Borowski be handled for approaching the Rammer? Rammer should have T'ed Bo up.
  18. If this were a math class, I would require you to show your work in order to get credit. I believe that is the basis for Wiz's stance above.
