Sorry my point was regarding Box's NIT comment, not our NCAA chances. If we have to "get lucky" in order to even make the NIT... then I'm not sure which team I've been watching all season. They're better than that. Agree, the NIT would be a disappointment either way.

Lol. Worst loss in the last 5 years? Worst game of the Cody Ellis era? What is going on here. Temple just beat DUKE.. shot 60% from field, 70% from 3.. They're pretty good. Bay Area is correct, we could not guard their taller guards, when we did they seemed to make it anyways AND draw the foul. It was hard to watch. Kwamain as only player who could "handle the limelight"? Kwamain was throwing up horrible 3's all game (finally made a few at the end), and when he wasn't, he was driving to the hoop and with little production. It was also frustrating. Ellis had a great first half, as did Evans. Jett played well. Cassity had another horrible game, and I don't know why he was playing down the stretch over Ellis. Conklin also great, needed the ball more. Also like to add that I thought the fans were as best as I've seen in awhile. Kept getting up as Billikens were making a comeback, but we just couldn't get over the hump and send the place bananas.

Cringe-worthy? You must run and hide when JB goes up. Nice numbers moytoy, I think JJ has shot the ball great (compared to last year). Much rather have JJ or MM in there over KC.. find it impossible KC has only been to the FT line 4 times all season. I know he's a jump shooter/distributor but that is ridiculous. MM/JJ attack.

This might be the worst thread ever. Bad scheduling? Christ, maybe the LMU game I can understand, but New Mexico no way. Majerus running his players ragged to the point they are tired in games? Really? I think he's done this a few times before.. it's another loss, sky is not falling, scale back expectations a bit. But keep this up and it will make for a helluva selection Sunday.

JB got plenty of playing time last game, whenever he takes a shot, I cringe. It never goes in. It's gotten to the point, with the guys we have, that he belongs on the bench. A "little disappointing" is a huge understatement. The "hype" on this board didn't help my viewpoint either (high hopes = disappointment), but I don't expect he should be getting many minutes come conference play. He's got a few years to adjust, let's hope he picks it up... but right now JB is a shooter who can't shoot.

It's Christmas break and student attendance over this stretch has been notoriously bad (Missouri State, anyone). This is still Billikens basketball, let's just hope for a steady increase in the holiday numbers. Bills by 30 tonight.

Pretty sure SLU can't be in the Midwest regional since they are the host school for Ed Jones dome, but could be wrong. Fingers crossed that the Billikens start their tournament run in Omaha, would be fun.

Never understood this either. Since we've graduated from the student section, I don't think my buddies and I have ever had a problem walking down to the 5th row and plopping our asses down. Always dozens of seats open, everyone should move down really. Student section has looked GREAT compared to what it once was.

This thread has become painful just to skim through, as 75% of them do on this board when derailed. RM is the best thing to happen to Billiken basketball since I started following the program (freshman year, 2006, not that long compared to most of you), I view him as a savior. Hope he coaches for 15 more years, then they erect a statue of the man, and throw his name on the court. Putting Billikens hoops back on the map, nationally. Will never understands the "haters" (it seems to never stop, no matter what), because I can't even imagine what it was like to be a SLU fan in the 20 years before he got here. We have a program now, let it gooooooooooo.

With regards to the LM game: - Says he should have rested KC & BC more, said KC was playing extremely well prior to LM. - Says JB did a great job when he went in, but he wasn't quite ready to use JM at that point. In general: - Says KM has to get rid of some of his immaturity (quick shots, poor decisions) - Conklin's improvement - he's slowed his game down a bit, spent a lot of time in the gym this summer, 'dramatically' improved his foul shooting, playing with confidence - For Portland - get back to taking care of the ball, stay down/grounded on opponent's shot fakes - Re: getting more fan support - We have true student-athletes, seniors who have already graduated ###### laude, working on their masters, great kids who share the ball, why wouldn't you want to come out and support them? - Rammers favorite spots to eat near Chaifetz: Hump's, Fieldhouse, Triump, & of course Pappy's.
