  1. The average age in the NBA is 26 and change. I couldn't find the median. Thinking you can begin at 25 seems overly optimistic. Don't try, don't succeed. I get it, but I hope he is using basketball for non-basketball goals as well.
  2. Bills couldn’t adjust when the last two opponents made their comebacks. Part of that is coaching. Good coaching by them, not so good by us. The two cuts to the basket show a recognition of baskets to be had and they were had.
  3. Removing Useful Billiken and Atlantic 10 Links pin may be helpful. I went through it a while back and I couldn't find one that was helpful. I didn't go through every link, admittedly.
  4. NBC Sports is available through Roku as well.
  5. What are the home viewing options, if any?
  6. You could get (so so) lower bowl seats for $10 as of yesterday with the right invitation. That says to me the tickets aren’t moving.
  7. I feel lucky. I feel that SLU did not win the game, but BSU lost it at the FT line. Yes, it counts as a win against a quality opponent away from home, but SLU needed overtime and a total of 14 missed free throws to get out with a W. Even with getting game being played at SLU's pace. Yes, I'll take it, but this team won't always have an opponent with such a glaring weakness. Onward and upward!
  8. I was hoping St. Louis wouldn't get a team. The city would always be on pins and needles about being deserted, again.
  9. Do we know who the refs are tonight? I understand if that information is kept secret, but how many refs are in Cancun right now?
  10. I don't know about Nesbitt. Against the best competition of the year, so far, he hasn't shined. His Memphis game was a disappointment when the game was still within reach. His box score didn't look terrible, but that isn't truly reflective of the performance. The Mercer game had him on the bench due to his defense. I expected A LOT (too much, seemingly) from him, and I'm coming back to Earth.
  11. That's because of the franchise vs club model. Franchises can't be demoted due to poor play. The club model allows for demotion. Yes, this is off topic, but to those who only casually followed the European Super League, this was a bone of contention. The Super League wanted to exempt certain clubs (Kroenke's being one of them) from relegation.
  12. Who would own this St. Louis team? Would the owner be able to leave, hence being able to hold the city/fans hostage until demands are met? I don't want a team if the team doesn't want to be here. Two teams showed that they'd rather leave, and they did. My life goes on.
  13. Is there a timeframe on JP's diagnosis/prognosis?
  14. I wonder if there was a bit of 'showcasing' involved. Knowing he won't make the team, the Wizards are giving scouts a chance to look at Goodwin. I don't know that three minutes can't tell you much, though. I hope not, but the thought did cross my mind.
  15. George Constanza also suffered from shrinkage.
  16. If you go to cameo.com , collegiate athletes are in their uniforms, with logos showing, offering to wish you a happy birthday etc. That would seem to go against the no uniform etc rule. Put 'Cavinder Twins' in the Cameo search bar to find one example.
  17. He was my son's favorite player. The Rammer can no longer say, 'Let Jimmy take over!!' You will be missed, Mr. Bell. Best wishes to you.
  18. I see it is as a Martelli to Michigan type move. Green coach needs some wisdom.
  19. Not paid what they are worth? The now more open marketplace will test your theory. I tend to think you're right, for most players, but the Zion Williamsons of the world will (did) get paid more for a reason. And Zion Williamsons lead to banners in the rafters. The benchwarmers don't.
  20. Possibly the football players will bleed the university dry in their bidding wars, at a football school. A basketball team has much fewer players so a school like SLU could focus its aid. Possibly. I'm trying to be positive.
  21. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/06/21/us/supreme-court-ncaa-student-athletes.html Perhaps behind a paywall, but, by my reading, schools can differentiate themselves by additional/differing academic benefits. Like study abroad, additional semesters of tuition, tuition to a vocational school, etc. Not sure where it leads, or whether it helps/hurts SLU.
