  1. Good to see that you and Old Guy are on the same page…
  2. It is never that simple. There have to be examples of players who went from complete obscurity to the top of the draft over the last 10 years. For example, Thon Maker. It will be interesting to see how much interest he creates this year now that he is signed. Also, our coaching staff brought in Traore and then Cisse. Those were pretty obscure players, who are clearly talented. I have to trust that this staff has found a diamond in the rough.
  3. He’s going to make everyone forget about Bruce Lee! That guy will be known as Old Bruce.
  4. Let’s look at it a different way, we cannot see backward from the end of time, so we cannot know if he is the best.
  5. Just a note for he coaches, Fred Thatch should be in from the under 5 mark on down. Pickett has nerves handling the ball in pressure time. Maybe keep Pickett back. Also, when we played Fred and Pickett as the 4-5, it worked. Maybe that should be our closing lineup with a good lead (sub Okoro for D). Let Pickett/Hargrove be the 5. Keep Gibson back. Fred, Collins, and Perkins/Parker should do the inbounding against pressure.
  6. Those clips make Zhang look amazing. Will just have to see how good he is when he gets here! But, he definitely has good ball skills for 7’1”.
  7. I think they are projecting Vice to the 4. I wouldn’t have thought that very likely until we saw the football video.
  8. Am I the only person wondering if this is a fake Twitter blue account?
  9. Right. Quick question, has a Billiken ever had 13 assists and zero turnovers before the MSU game? People have lost all perspective on Collins. When he is gone from this program, you will feel the pain for a long time.
  10. I agree with Point 1. It threw off the flow and lasted until the 10 minute mark of the second half.
  11. Quick thoughts form the game. 1. Pickett played horribly in the first half, and the start of the second. He had turnovers, and it seemed like most bobbled rebounds had him either bobbling or sticking a hand in. 2. Thatch played pretty well. Definitely did well as a backup pg. I think the mpg will turn more towards Thatch in time.
  12. This is one of the funniest thought experiments this board has ever proposed. Try not to blow a gasket on this one.
  13. Vice Medley, sounds like Situation 3 is inbound!!!
  14. This may sound crazy, but if I was an NBA team looking at any Ford player past and present, Yuri Collins would be my first pick to draft. You can’t coach or teach what he does. At least try him out and see if your team’s PPG goes up by 5-10. Especially on a team with built-in scorers already.
  15. Pickett looks good, but it seemed obvious that Thatch should get more minutes, even at his expense. I also would be interested in seeing Thatch and Picket at the 4-5 for stretches during games. I bet it would work.
  16. What is the highest Assists/game in a season?
  17. I think it really helps that he hasn’t gone far yet. Can’t hit red every time, at some point he is going into the black.
  18. It is interesting to note the parity. It is how I feel about the NCAA over the past several years. It is a reason the tournament needs to expand. Hopefully it happens soon.
  19. Now that Goodwin is on the Wiz’s roster, these threads are just going to be confusing at first glance.
  20. Who wants to be the next Billie Gillespie? That guy is really adored by Big Blue Nation. I am sure T. Ford wants to put his name in that light. People lose sight of reality when their name is called, and they get a recruiting pitch, but right now, I think he has a more balanced feel for what he expects or wants from himself.
  21. What kind of questions? [e.g., which field is it on today, again?]
  22. We just gotta win the whole _________ thing.
  23. It is not that crazy of an idea. We could start off with a really mean defensive approach. Focus on throwing off the other team. Then boom! Also, as much as we worry about the backup point guard, the job will be: 1) get the ball across the half court line, 2) get the ball to Perkins/Parker/Gibson off a screen, and 3) return to (2) if we get an offensive rebound.
