  1. Yes. Very nice. In the future it might be easier to simply type out the transcript like a court stenographer.
  2. I am really annoyed by this argument. If he is shooting well, he can hit at around a 70-80% rate in the paint. Even if his free throws are off, he can still put up 50-60% overall. It really depends on whether he is hitting, and how likely he is to get fouled. I think French is in his own head this year because of his free throw percentage. He needs to be aggressive when we need him to be. He should have had 20+ against Dayton and Lasalle. Same for the Minnesota game. If he cannot pull it together and find his aggressiveness, then the coaches need to put in Linssen or Bell and tell them to be aggressive. Bell, in particular, needs more opportunities like this. I think he would have had more success against Robbins and Minnesota. We should try to prepare for that next monster big. That said, when the defense is collapsing on him, we are better off with him looking for the open shooters.
  3. Was there a mention of Perkins injury? Was it just an ankle? Low grade sprain? It looked like it could be a hyperextended knee, which would be a problem.
  4. Did this really happen? I thought he was on the court the last 10 min.
  5. Yep, it is nice to have good teams in the area. Mizzou, SLU, and UI are all good this year. Before the break, I did not think the others were better than SLU, but who knows now with Tilmon playing so well.
  6. You know, I definitely felt like the season was over until I read this thread. What a bunch of whiners! “Shut down for the season”? What else are you going to do? Hit the local bar scene? Pull it together. You know what, I GUARANTEE A WIN TOMORROW!
  7. Honestly, Wiz, now is not the time to be rationale!
  8. Well, never mind then. Also, I meant to say that Jimerson played well on defense in the second half.
  9. There could be something to this. For example, I wondered how Linssen would fair once we hit the steady A10 beat, with athletic bigs. I wondered if Jimerson’s defense against Minnesota would be a problem with the average A10 team. Both were a problem last night. But I think they look worse because the entire team is struggling. For example, the team is not working to support Jimerson, or avoiding a switch on defense that the other team is working us into. We are just playing sloppy, slow, and maybe tired.
  10. He was too hot. Basic coaching. He could have burned the other players.
  11. Winning cures all ills. If we get hot from 3 and win on Saturday, everything can snap back into place. Just have to take it a day at a time.
  12. I think we just have to accept that Lasalle isn’t that bad.
  13. On the good side, Thatch is having his second straight game. Jimerson looks a lot better this half. Bell has finally come back alive this year.
  14. The one we lost last week had a really witty GDT name. We have had pretty lame names all year, except Minnesota and Dayton. The name today is about as lame as it gets. Just saying.
  15. Wow. Hypothetically, if an AD created a train wreck and was reacting by laying on more acceleration, this is what it would look like. #ContactTracing
  16. I’m sorry, but the Board has spoken. Certainly, the player and the coach have opinions, but Board majority is law.
  17. Is the GW game paused on that Saturday?
  18. That is a new angle. This is kind of hilarious. Might explain why Richmond’s AD is in a defensive mode!
  19. Look, after Tuesday we were probably going to lose. So, maybe we just flat out dodged the game. Medical staff maybe just gave a suggestion. So what. Evansville did it to us. Other teams have been dodging all year. Duke dodged most of its non-conference that would have completely sunk them. It is not fair to stick our players in a bad situation... That said, since the teams were cleared to play (Covid test). The medical staff probably saw something weird on one or more of the players wearables. The ensuing panic probably canceled the game, and nothing is clear. My only hope is that we can practice!
  20. You do that, I’ll call it dev[a]stating.
  21. One missed pass by Goodwin does not mean we are playing hero ball. It is pretty easy to understand, Minnesota came up with a strategy to face us, force Hasahn French to beat you. They are not doubling or helping down on him, so there is no kick out pass. HF went 6/8 with 1 TO. Maybe the answer would have been to go to him (or Linssen) every play. That said, we cannot start a game with such bad defense and offense.
