We don't defend it. Ford doesn't think it needs to be a point of emphasis vs protecting the lane. He looks at teams shooting % and assumes they'll miss enough. But even the worst teams in DI will make most of their 3s when they get to take wide-open un-rushed shots. As bad as our offense has been it isn't even worth discussing. The defense today is as pathetic as we've ever seen under Ford, which is saying a lot. You aren't beating Dayton, VCU, Davidson, or any team you'll face in March with that poor an effort. Perkins clearly isn't right. Okoro clearly doesn't want to be out there, not that we have a choice but to play him. And we're back to where we were in the worst moments last year where a well-coached defense shows that if you can limit Jimerson and frustrate Yuri we will fall apart.

Neither of these guys needs all the $$$. They just need hedge-fund partners convinced to let them run the team. I've attended a Lindenwood commencement ceremony and I'll just say that any notion that LU is politics-free is extraordinarily false. Fun fact, Spellman once lamented that the female student body sat outside their dorms like a "bunch of harlots".

This has been Lindenwood's whole growth strategy since Spellman left and they moved away from being a stodgy conservative Presbyterian college. Seems like it is working though you can't help but wondering financially what happens long term. FWIW I think SLU's strategy to focus on becoming a major research university is a better fit. The $ it would take to actually matter in college football is just too high and the system is set up to prevent anyone new really becoming a player. If college hockey as a whole grows into something even close to a revenue sport (unlikely) that might be more practical.

From the little research I've read on empirical studies of home court advantage in basketball it would be a function of how well the crowd can influence the refs. I doubt anyone has really measured that. Other ways of calculating it would rely on suspect assumptions of how the results would turn out compared to reality.

Depends on how the end of season meeting with the head coach went. Most coaches should give a player a pretty good indication of whether or not seeing game minutes is a possibility the next season. Even as a freshman, if you were just told you probably won't even get in the rotation until year 3, I could a fresh start elsewhere looking pretty appealing.
