  1. So who do we have on our non-con schedule next year?  I think the following were home-home but not 100% positive?

    Memphis - home
    Boise - home
    Iona - away
    Maryland/Miami/providence tourney - neutral

    Belmont???
    Drake???
    Auburn???

Also adding Loyola to the conference schedule - potentially twice - is huge.

  2. With the number of guys returning to the school they originally left growing by the day...

Is there any shot Yuri actually returns? Actually sits down and talks with SLU staff about schedule/system/shining this year, Ford gets a few scouts to talk to Yuri about playing as 3rd option in a big school and being the man at a mid school, NIL money comes in and evens the playing field...

Am I crazy for not having given up yet?  Seems like if this was as more of a sure thing as we all originally thought, it would be done?

    Interesting find

    Of the " Doubtful":

Devon Daniels - Their best scorer, averages 18 ppg 28 MPG

DJ Funderburke - Their best big at 8 ppg 3 boards 20 MPG

    Cam Hayes - 11  ppg 19 MPG

We'll see how accurate this is.

Did some research and identified who is in STL and who had to stay home from NC State.  Looks like they lost a decent amount of scoring from last year (27ppg) and their star freshman (Cam Hayes) is not in STL.  Sounds like 10 might have actually travelled to STL instead of 9 but we will see at tip. The one in question is DJ Funderburk.

I pulled prior year stats for all returning players and current year for the frosh.

    Yellow = Graduated
    Light Blue = Playing
Orange = Didn't make it to STL

Not complaining about the feedback at all. It will be something that I will add to our content list, maybe a 10 minute clip with the important takeaways from the show. At least we have a better idea of what everyone is wanting.

I actually wonder if your number of listeners would increase if you split this into two separate pods - each about an hour when you edit and trim some fat?  You could also provide some commentary on the topics covered in each pod at the start and end to build upon the fans perspective of the conversation.  As you have seen, many people shy away from listening based on the length alone.  I feel that you could take this route to still utilize the full interview, increase your pod downloads and provide the content you are looking to provide without sacrificing a large portion of the interview.

Excited to listen to this and happy to share feedback to help increase your listener base.  The more people interested in the Bills, the better!

What at all is enticing about ISU right now? They won nine games last year. They're 150ish in Torvik's 2021 ranks. Why wouldn't Bradley be the choice if you're trying to stay really close? Illinois?

I understand the wanting to stay home, but ISU is such a wild choice considering his options, especially those within three hours of Normal.

Is Illinois State a top five program in the state?

They won NINE GAMES in that dumpster fire of a conference.

His dad passed away a few months back.  I think you underestimate the ability to get home in 10 minutes to see / be with his mother as compared to 3 hours.

  6. This actually isn't all that uncommon.  Most accounting schools offer a full slate of classes that don't start until late March so that students have the opportunity to complete internships / work full time during busy accounting seasons.

Same idea just replace tax / accounting for basketball.

LLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL imagine him at Notre Dame

I actually don't think the academics would be the issue at a school like Duke/ND/Stanford etc.   They weren't the issue at SLU either.

These programs all have isolated and well defined programs for athletes who struggle in the classroom and give them every resource/opportunity to succeed.  They are essentially placed in a bubble that minimizes their risk in the classroom to a maximum degree.  Gordon's issue will always be his attitude - no matter the level of academics he is challenged with at his next school.

Lunardi just watched them beat SJU. Such a kneejerk reaction.

He just takes the team that is at the top of the conference standings and plugs them in as the auto-bid for every league.  They are the only team with a win so they are the auto bid.  Has nothing to do with what he thinks about them actually being good.

    One hell of a fan

We can't hate on people for not supporting the team en masse and also hate on new fans coming out to support.  A whole new crop of people are getting excited for the bills and you should be excited about that as well.

Glad you're on the bandwagon @slufan06 and help bring us a W!  If you call the ticket office they should be able to help you out:

Does anybody do midnight madness anymore? Isn't that something of 20 years ago.

Most of the power schools do midnight madness - but more as a recruiting tool than something for the fans.  Indiana for example brings in their top 5-7 targets for Hoosier Hysteria every year as part of their OV.
