I used to judge Grandy based on his post-SLU activity, but seeing it spelled out like this with his name, his future had already been written. I hope he is doing the glazing vs. being glazed, at least I think that is what I would hope for him.

I find myself watching the Saint Joseph’s/Seton Hall game just because when I put it on the Hawks had a solid lead and I want to see how Lange blows this!

I have been convinced, the most important quality needs to be the likelihood that the candidate would be willing to stay in St. Louis at SLU for 32 seasons. How could you possibly know any candidate would stick around at SLU if bigger programs with more lucrative offers came calling? Ahearn didn’t go to SLU, so who’s to say he would turn down opportunities if he were to succeed at SLU. And why is that a bad thing if it means the coach had success here? The key is finding that first part and not being overly concerned with the second part.

I missed some of it, did he give a reason for not liking the idea of Schertz? I heard him say that he didn't want some young up-and-comer generically, but Schertz is not that. Nobody should have to deal with Slaten, just a complete a$$hole. I am pretty confident that Blake and Troy Slaten would have played together back in the day on a team called the Celtics, included the Oppland twins as well.

I only caught Slaten calling you a moron after you were on, but did listen to Peter with the other guy. He at least let Peter talk between his aggressive lobbying for Blake.

The contest will count as a forfeit for Davidson in accordance with league rules and will not be rescheduled.

Hahaha, good times. I think we then shifted to the hotel at Union Station if I remember correctly. I meant to look up what the former Sheraton is now. I parked there a few weeks ago for the Blues game and to get back to the parking garage we had to walk thru the lobby. It was hard to tell whether it was still a hotel as it was dimly lit and a bit creepy although that might have been due to the drunk Blues fans we were surrounded by. I basically lived in that hotel for 6 months, the memories!

You were the one who decided to go after Romar. I have no problem with folks questioning him as a coach, but you went beyond that and you will not find a better man in college basketball than Lorenzo Romar. Nobody would put Travis Ford on that level.
