I actually think the fact that Crews was not at practice the day before helped us eek out the win. I agree that the defense was much better. I didnt think we were capable of that effort. Not to start a big thing here...but if we hit a stride here and finish middle of the pack (or better) in the A-10, that would be disasterous for the future of the program. I've never rooted for losses in my life, except for this season. I think it will take 6-7 wins to have the administration realize that this isnt a "growing pains" scenario.

I dont even feel like this is a real season. I simply do not care. The only glimmer of goodness here is that Vegas has not learned to make the Bills 2nd half point spreads somewhere between 20-25 points. Last night's 2H line was KSU -5.5. Free money. Just load up on whoever is playing the bills. Taking the opponent in the 2nd half is undefeated since Louisville.

I could get excited about some people on that list. I would venture to say that it is a better list than Chris May has right now. A spashy hire might be the former VA tech head coach Seth Greenberg. VA Tech is a tough place to try to build basketball tradition.

This may be the game that Vegas linemakers overreact to the Bills downward spiral. That said, there may be degen gamblers out there really hating SLU right now seeing as we havent sniffed covering since TN Martin and we (historically) been very good at home. Not touching this one. The fact that we have Saint Louis on our jerseys seems to put our opponent in the mindset that we are a tough team because they think we are cut from the same ilk as those RM teams. Carbondale's bench cheered like they were about to knock off a top 15 team or something. It really made my skin crawl.

I've been posting since 2003 and I haven't seen worse. Even the 2005 season at least showed some promise and players bought in to sodies plan. Morehead st was really the final cannon that sunk the ship. I couldn't even watch the 2nd half on TV...why on earth would I want to subject myself to getting to the arena/parking to watch that product. I genuinely don't know how someone can watch the games and continue pumping sunshine unless they have a personal relationship with a player or member of the coaching staff. It is objectively bad basketball. I hesitated posting something like this for a while bc I'd rather be silent on here than negative...however the notion that positive posters have been run off by the negative posters is absolutely absurd. I'd contend that the ones not posting are a lot like me. We see no hope, don't have the chafietz cash to do anything about it, so we just shut up,stay helpless and wait for the time when we can shake RC's hand again and thank him for caring about Billiken basketball (which I did in 2013). Less than 24 months from looking like we would be a consistent ncaa team, we need another miracle
