Good SLU teams never won at VCU. Did anyone expect anything different from this SLU team?

Brad got away with so much it’s hard to be mad at the refs.
No excuse.
Besides, I’m hardly mad, more numb. This stuff is to be expected. -
Belle traveled, no call.
Plus, that guy has hacked Jimerson most of the game. That’s business as usual in the East Coast Bus League with its Southern Spur.
-
Parker fouled with the body before the block, no call.

Does VCWho ever get called for hand checking?

cbssports.com has VCU -8.5, o146.
ESPN.com concurs: VCU -8.5.
I don't think VCU is that good. Havoc (Gimmick, not that it was good) is gone, and this is a very different type of VCU team. We'll see if VCU is still allowed to check the SLU point guard in open court, plain view. Once the refs in Albany, NY immediately blew the whistle on that tactic in last year's NCAA Tourney game vs. St. Mary's, VCU was toast, lost by double digits.
If the good Billikens show up tonight, SLU could win this game. Do it.

Why should WCC teams want to face a team currently ranked around the 200 mark, with no at-large bid for the past decade? That plays in a conference that currently has roughly the same rating as Mo Valley?
You would be surprised.

How about SLU to the WCC
That would be utopia for me. But a scheduling alliance is probably more realistic, within the realm of higher possibility.

Next year Washington State and Oregon State join for 2 years??
Affirmative. That is correct.

WCC NET’s: USF 37, St. Mary’s 39, Gonzaga 47, Santa Clara 100.

How about a WCC-A10 scheduling alliance?

@Santa Clara 77 Gonzaga 76. That one was a long time in coming. SCU snaps a 26 game losing streak to the Zags, with former Bronco and NBA star Steve Nash in attendance.

It sounds better to say, " undefeated" instead of "1-0".
SLU Football is undefeated since 1949.

Lange going zone and staying in it was very helpful to the Billikens. Thank you very much.

Ezwiro is the best big we’ve had in the Ford era.
If he could just stay out of A10 foul trouble.

The old A10 zebra bailout special sends Travis onto the court.

Nice catch Bay Area..This is huge for the WCC.. Any word on Grand Canyon???
Saw where Oregon State and Washington State agreed to schedule like 5 or 6 games against MWC schools and the MWC said they will schedule games against the 2 also..
Will the Pac 2 just quit to exist??
The WCC wants to get from 9 to 12 teams, is about to reach 11 for 2 years with the additions of Wash. State and Oregon State. The expansion candidates mentioned are SeattleU (a former WCC member and Jesuit school), Denver, and Grand Canyon in Phoenix. The PAC 2 (Wash. State and Oregon State) have 2 years to reestablish the PAC, in the meantime have entered into a Football scheduling agreement with the Mountain West to each play 7 Mountain West schools (and each other) in Football. Both have agreements to continue playing their instate football rival, Washington and Oregon, respectively.

Washington State and Oregon State are about to be added to the WCC for 2 years in all sports, including basketball, except for football and baseball.

Margin of victory/loss isn't used in the NET rankings formula.
Actually it is.
"The NET includes more components than just winning percentage. It takes into account game results, strength of schedule, game location, scoring margin, net offensive and defensive efficiency, and the quality of wins and losses." Source is the above link from the NCAA, bold print added for emphasis. -
